Went by unnoticed by me. but I wasn't anywhere near a computer from the 29th to the 2nd... so guess that's why

Yeah it's crazy... not one person I've met has mentioned/been bothered by it.

Oh people DID notice, you propably just were the lucky ones who didnt.

What I experienced:

Login so steam failing couple of times.

Site not reachable (Player / Store etc.)

Try trading in this time (I tried trading with TF2 warehouse, it took me like 50 attempts do get 1 trade done).

So yeah, IT SUCKED.

I believe this was linked to the Twitch.tv DDoS attack on a popular streamer called Phant0mlord. A group of people targeted whatever game he was trying to play with his watchers and Dota 2 happened to be one of them and steam got caught in the crossfire.

Phant0m ended up being S.W.A.T'd and arrested temporarily before explaining that he was just the victim of a pretty meaningless shenanigan.
