Can we get this back to 24 slots, its a load of crap due to the huge amounts of spam, thast livable but the lag is horendus, monitoring the server fps from irc and it gets about 40 on average when all the others have 100 +. Tonight, you shot and you would here the sound of your gun twice in quick succesion, as the lag was that bad, the hit detection was awful, you put 6 bullets in a guy stood still and you couldnt hit him for the lfie in you, the only way you could kill was with spam, and well since everyone hates that do we really want to encourage it by having such a laggy server.
I TOTALLY agree with Ares. Sometimes the lags gets REALLY bad. I never liked the 26 slots. Makes it too spammy and confusing when there's so many players running around.

And tbh whats the actual benefit of having more player per team? I hate to use the "valve made it for" argument, but it WAS made for 24 players, and i did notice yesterday an extra demo man or solly can make all the difference between occasionally seeking cover and being outright raped by nades and splash.
And if its breaking the server (which ares says it is) im sure we can afford to drop the two slots, its not like were cramped for space overall since a 5th server was opened yesterday...

Did see the 5th server added on the main page, i take it its running normal maps, are crits on or off?

Totally agree, would even suggest that 20 is the best number. I frequenty play on server 3 these days simply because its 20 players and not 24, makes for a much better game, less spam and overall more enjoyable.
Also, the quality of the servers seems to have gone down recently. As I understand it arn't these servers suppost to be guaranteed tickrate 66? For anyone who doesnt know what server tickrate is, it esentially limits how many packets per second a client can send/recieve from the server, the higher the value the better the hit reg generally speaking. The servers most definately havent been at a constant tickrate of 66 lately, most likely due to whoever the server provider is trying to host to many servers off a single 'box'. Dunno what we can do about tho tbh.

26 is spammy indeed and I prefer smaller scale games so I think 24 should be the absolute max. Server1 has been below par lately too I agree.

Oo. Any chance to get some good custom maps instead of DB and GR on #1 or #2 then?
On the topic I agree as well, 24 is on the limit to "unbearably spammy" allready imo, 26 is just over the top.

Problem is Fluffs, if the server sticks a custom map that isnt widely known on, the server WILL empty and only about 10 people will remain, which while fun is not really conducive to a good gaming session...
It aint a problem when its ordered by mapvote by admin, but if its part of the reguler map cycle it will empty the server out every 2 hours or so. And if its stuck in the map vote and end of round people simply wont vote for it unless they have no choice, again by custom map vote...
