You mean the op crit flamer? Im ok with crits from behind but why does he need an extra 50 health, if its supposed to encourage ambushes and sneaky stlye of play why give him more health so that he can charge at people
Explain how they are underblanaced go on, have a go as you cant, they are perfectly balanced, pyros ahve streghts and weaknesses, they are good againt spies and in ambushes, but peopel moan "omgzors teh pyro is underpwead cos i cant kill everthing" Look at it every class has their strenghts and weaknesses, pyros being sollys, so i know lets be as smart as valve and make them so they can kill sollys aswell It makes no sense what so ever
ARES relax mate we havent seen the blowjob attachment in action yet maybe there will be a cool down... mayber it will consume all ammo.... But one thing i sitll dont get are cheeves alowed in leagues?
Anywhoo i dont think the cheeves are overpowered... the pyro is a laughing stock as i was a heavy I laughed my eyes dry each time a pyro came in sight coz they always got pizzleowned even as a sniper or medic (i chop em good....) so now they can at least fight back.....
Actually im afraid when the Heavy/Demo/Solly cheeves are out
Heavy: gets a second minigun and a brick-shithouse armour
Demo: gets to play the racist card where he can temporarily make himself invulnerable (w/o a medic)coz the white MAN is oppressing him.
Solly: gets to shoot nukes like the ones we push in gold rush
ares i've never understood why u hate pyros so much lol...
Pyros had no long range ability at all...every other class has a long range weapon...and no the pyro shotgun isn't a long range weapon it's only effective at mid-range and even then it's not amazing. The flare gun will help address this.
The axtinguisher (sp?) has reduced damage and crits only on flamed people...it's a tradeoff and will help the skilled players - this is definitely an upgrade but it's one that will require skill to use effectively.
Pyros used to be way too vulnerable to soldiers. No other class had this sort of inherent weakness. Name a class that soldiers and demos are inherently weak towards. The compressed air will help to reduce the weakness to soldiers/demos but, again, it will need skill to use and even then I can forsee it being difficult. We have no idea exactly how much this will affect incoming projectiles, the deflection may be slight causing slightly reduced damage rather than the full damage. Just stops soldiers dominating pyros totally and utterly.
The backburner is a definite upgrade, but with the implementation of the compressed air on the other flamethrower I think it remains to be seen how much of a difference it will make compared to the normal flamethrower.
Pyro was just way too vulnerable before, hopefully these updates will fix that.
Wisytfane: Achievments are allowed in league play !!! Right Blutsuager: Health back on hit and looses the measely 5% chance to crit, which is no existannt on no crit servers, but no its so obviously not better than the base one Ubersaw: gives you 25% uber on hit, with a slower strike speed you dont even notice, and you can link up with anotehr medic to make you invincible
Flare gun: I think this is a good idea, give the pyro some range mroe tactics to him and doesent crit like Ntrailz does.
Back burner: 100% crits from behind so basicly insta death, extra 50 health to help him charge at people then circle strafe not ambush them, bet the dodgy hit bxes lie kthe spies face stab will happed and you will get back burning crits while facing them aswell. Its basicly the flamer we have now with a few overpwoering upgrades
The axetingusher: not too bad, quite well balanced aside from crits being its streagnth so in amny games ti wil lbe useless, but good fun to try use in a pub.
Compression push: Blows away sticky traps, pipes rockets. seperates ubers from each other. So basicly a solly and demo are useless againt a pyro now, a demo definatly as he has projectile weapons, the solyl will jsut have to shotty the pyro and hope for a crit. The good side of this is it could help pyros ambush people by maknig the pyro move faster by pointing backwards and using it to go faster or help him escape, but its wave good bye to balance to be honest.
Solly > Pyro is how it should be then pyro has his strenghts depending on situsations where he can kill a solly and strengths against other classes such as spy.
Right scout owns demos most of the time, thats his weakness no prjectile weapons. Solly is beaten by demos as the can lock down the land with stickeis and kill him beofre he can get to a goood range to be effective. Pyro is a close range class, at close range he owns all but the luckiest of sollys and demos, but at mid to long range he sucks, the Flare gun will help cure this so why make him even more effective than he already will be now hes a god at closerange and has ranged weaponary.
And i dont hate pyros at all, but what they are dongi to the game makes him way to effective against his weaknesses.
I have to agree with ARES here sollys have to dominate the pyro coz other wise he can dice the demomen scouts spahs, snipers (cept me) medics and sometimes heavies.... so soldier is his antagonist....
What im not fine with is that the Solly has no inherent weakness against other classes. AND DONT YOU DARE SAY SNOYPER OR SPAH COZ THAT A LOAD OF BOLLOCKS.
you have to train for eons to be able to efforlessly backstab or headshot sollies. But as i said they have no inherent weakness against other classes and that needs to be fixed
