I know theres lots going about at the moment about people getting bored of playing the same old maps.

And there is lots of posts about what to do if the servers 3 4 5.


How about a custom night on one of the servers. Will can get lots of custom maps on then and try them out.


Whos up for it.

Sounds like a good idea, would it be possible to wipe the ratings for these maps - that way giving a fresh idea on what people think of them?

This wouldn't be helpful. The more ratings submitted for a map the better the data.
Especially when selecting maps for a public server that require mass appeal.

It would be possible to set up a separate db for collecting ratings for the custom map weekend, but it would be silly to get wipe existing rates.

Very in favour of the custom maps idea, I really think that we need to be playing these more on the servers to keep things fresh.

For me I would request a weekend (daytime), as evenings for me now are a no go area

Was only an idea, if it's possible to seperate out the votes for the custom weekend from the rest then that would be as good as well.

I read this as getting together those people who use the server quite a lot, clanners and reg's, and getting their opinions on custom maps in order to put some on that people actually want.
Whilst more data = good, the free weekend (at least 1) would have skewed the results a bit as most likely they would vote 5 if they hadn't died in the first 10 seconds or 1 if they had!

But hey, whatever is best is cool
