Post TF2Turbo
I have applied to get TF2Turbo for HH4. Looks amazing =)

edit: PLEASE NOTE THIS HAS NOT BEEN INSTALLED, RELEASED OR MADE PUBLIC YET. IT IS NOT ON HH4 YET. AS WRITTEN ABOVE I HAVE APPLIED TO GET TF2TURBO. THAT IS ALL.

TF2Turbo is a server-side plugin for Team Fortress 2 (TF2). Anyone who has TF2 installed can play on a TF2Turbo server for free - there is no client download required.

TF2Turbo aims to reinstate the legendary core Team Fortress gameplay mechanic combination of teamplay / movement / deathmatch into TF2 by implementing deep but also highly accessible movement skills. TF2Turbo also disables respawn delays and critical hits.

TF2Turbo Movement Skills
Develop your own play-style combining as many teamplay / movement / deathmatch skills as you wish in whatever ratios you want. Once you master the basic "pure skills", the emphasis then shifts onto the split-second decisions as to precisely what you should do, and the ability to pull it off is merely a pre-requisite. That's where the real fun starts.

TF2Turbo has a speedometer that shows your horizontal speed as a percentage of the bunnyhop-cap, and which appears above your crosshair only when you are moving fast enough to be able to do a trimp (which is at 83% speed due to the 20% bunnyhop boost). Without cluttering up the interface for players currently not focusing on their movement, this system gives advanced players who are focusing on their movement all the information they need when they need it. Alternatively, server admins can set the speedometer to be always visible for all clients, which can be useful when initially learning the basic movement skills but is not recommended for regular play.

The difficulties stated below merely concern the pure skills on their own, whereas obviously the real skill lies in what you actually do with them.

1. Bunnyhopping (all classes)

Difficulty: extremely easy to do the basics (just hold jump), really not possible to ever completely master when combining with multiple other movement skills.

1.1. Holding the jump button will automatically make you jump as soon as you touch the ground: there is no need to release and press jump again.

1.2. Bunnyhopping while not ducking gives a 20% speed boost: your horizontal speed immediately after the bunnyhop will be 120% of your horizontal speed immediately before the bunnyhop.

1.3. Bunnyhopping while ducking maintains your current speed: your horizontal speed immediately after the bunnyhop will be 100% of your horizontal speed immediately before the bunnyhop.

1.4. Bunnyhopping has a hard cap: if either of the above would cause your horizontal speed immediately after the bunnyhop to exceed the bunnyhop-cap, then your horizontal speed immediately after the bunnyhop will be equal to the bunnyhop-cap.

1.5. The bunnyhop-cap can be exceeded by 20% while ducking: 20% more horizontal speed can be carried through a bunnyhop when holding duck, but you must use other movement skills in order to attain the speed because there is no bunnyhop speed boost while ducking.

1.6. The bunnyhop-cap is the same for all classes (in absolute terms, not relative to each class's run speed): the bunnyhop-cap is currently 160% of the scout's run speed.

1.7. Bunnyhopping up slopes while not ducking builds speed quickly: any class can repeatedly use the 20% speed boost to reach the bunnyhop-cap quickly when moving up a slope.

1.8. Combine bunnyhopping with multiple other movement skills: plan and constantly re-evaluate your movement depending on the situation and your abilities, probably using bunnyhopping as the backbone linking it all together.

2. Air-Control (all classes)

Difficulty: medium. Once you've figured it out you'll wonder what all the fuss was about.

2.1. Change direction and gain speed when in the air: while moving forwards, release all movement keys except one of the strafe keys, then smoothly turn the mouse in the same direction as the strafe key.

2.2. Increased air-acceleration from default TF2: allows much tighter turning and gives greater speed gain for using air-control.

2.3. Air-control works exactly the same when moving backwards or sideways: with practice, forwards/backwards/sideways air-control can be seemlessly transitioned between without any loss of speed.

2.3.1. Backwards air-control: release all movement keys except one of the strafe keys, then smoothly turn the mouse in the opposite direction of the strafe key.

2.3.2. Sideways air-control: release all movement keys except either the forwards or backwards key, then smoothly turn the mouse in the associated direction (e.g. if moving right and pressing the forwards key, turn the mouse to the left).

3. Trimping (all classes)

Difficulty: easy once you can bunnyhop.

3.1. Convert your horizontal speed into height when moving at full speed: if you are about to do a bunnyhop that would result in your horizontal speed immediately after the bunnyhop being greater than or equal to the bunnyhop-cap, then you can choose to do a trimp instead of a bunnyhop by holding the forwards key (as well as the jump key).

3.2. Trimping sends you upwards at 70 degrees above horizontal: if your horizontal speed immediately before the trimp was less than or equal to the bunnyhop-cap, then your total speed after the trimp will be equal to the bunnyhop-cap but projected upwards at 70 degrees.

3.3. Trimping has no speed cap: if your horizontal speed immediately before the trimp was greater than the bunnyhop-cap, then your total speed after the trimp will be equal to your horizontal speed immediately before the trimp but projected upwards at 70 degrees.

3.4. Trimping works exactly the same when moving backwards: hold the backwards key instead of the forwards key.

4. Trimp-Jump (all classes except scout)

Difficulty: easy once you can trimp.

4.1. Perform a midair jump after a trimp: [release and] press the jump button while in the air to trimp-jump in your current direction of motion.

4.2. Trimp-jump gives a 20% speed boost: your horizontal speed immediately after the trimp-jump will be 120% of your horizontal speed immediately before the trimp-jump.

4.3. Trimp-jump gives a basic minimum speed: your horizontal speed immediately after the trimp-jump will always be greater than or equal to the scout's run speed.

5. Double-Jump (scout only)

Difficulty: easy on its own, very hard to efficiently combine with bunnyhopping and air-control.

5.1. Perform a midair jump to change directly sharply and gain speed: hold desired movement key(s) then press the jump button while in the air to double-jump in that direction.

5.2. Double-jump gives a 20% speed boost: if you are holding a movement key, your horizontal speed immediately after the double-jump will be 120% of your horizontal speed immediately before the double-jump.

5.3. Double-jump gives a basic minimum speed: if you are holding a movement key, your horizontal speed immediately after the double-jump will always be greater than or equal to the scout's run speed.

6. Jet-Pack (pyro only)

Difficulty: easy to do the basics, medium to master once you can do air-control. The trickiest bit is knowing maps backwards! :)

6.1. Use the flamethrower to fly: firing the flamethrower while in the air will push you in the opposite direction.

6.2. There is a hard cap on vertical speed: while firing the flamethrower your vertical speed can never exceed 25% of the scout's run speed.

7. Rocket-Jumping (soldier only)

Difficulty: easy/medium to do the basics, medium to master. The difficulty is mainly in the other movement skills that you combine it with.

7.1. Use rocket explosions to propel you: jump then fire a rocket at a surface so that the explosion pushes you where you want to go. Just as in default TF2, holding duck increases effectiveness.

7.2. 20% more horizontal speed than default TF2.

7.3. Rocket-jump while bunnyhopping fast for greatly increased effectiveness: fire the rocket immediately after the bunnyhop if you want to go high, or fire the rocket later on in the bunnyhop trajectory if you want to stay low.

8. Grenade-Jumping (demoman only)

Difficulty: easy/medium to do the basics, very hard to master.

8.1. Use grenade or sticky-grenade explosions to propel you: jump next to a grenade or sticky-grenade so that the explosion pushes you where you want to go. Just as in default TF2, holding duck increases effectiveness.

8.2. 20% more horizontal speed than default TF2.

8.3. Grenade-jump while bunnyhopping fast for greatly increased effectiveness: place the grenade so that it explodes immediately after the bunnyhop if you want to go high, or place the grenade so that it explodes later on in the bunnyhop trajectory if you want to stay low.

9. Circle-Strafing Sentry Guns (all classes)

Difficulty: easy/medium to hard/impossible depending on the situation.

9.1. Move around a sentry gun faster than it can rotate so that you stay out of its arc of fire.

9.2. Circle-strafing sentry guns is identical to default TF2: it is an extremely useful skill in TF2Turbo due to the greater potential that the movement skills give to get up close to a sentry gun before it has time to rotate.

9.3. Circle-strafe sentry guns as a means to best achieve your team's objectives: for example, if the objective of the map is to capture the enemy's intelligence, then rather than simply trying to destroy the sentry gun, it may often be much better (but require more skill) to quickly grab the intelligence while circle-strafing the sentry gun, make a skillfully timed exit, capture the intelligence, then come right back for more!

10. Ramp-Sliding (all classes)

Difficulty: easy once you've acquired the other movement skills required to send you towards a ramp with sufficient speed.

10.1. Slide up slopes at very high speed without being slowed down: if you make contact with an upwards slope and are moving fast enough then you will slide up it. You do not need to press/not-press any keys, you simply need a lot of speed.

10.2. Ramp-sliding is identical to default TF2: you just tend not to go fast enough in default TF2 to notice it.

looks soddin daft tbh

build yourself a sentry-gun, and sit back and relax as you completely destroy those pathetic little show-offs with their useless movement "skills"

just like the scout picking up the intel on turbine towards the end of the vid

It has absolutely nothing to do with .. and plays nothing like low gravity.

Its stuff liek ramp sliding bunny hopping more air control that were in tfc jsut adds more to the game and makes the skill ceilings for the classes higher

lol this is the 2nd silliest mod I've seen since the one re-implementing grenades for all classes.

By the looks and sounds of this it will make snipers and engineers useless.
