I like it - It's a quick, fun blast .

The epic 1v1 situations it creates are awesome- medic v heavy anyone? medic wins of course

i understand the sitting out to balance the teams thing, i think its a good idea in fact, but having said that i don't play cs for that precise reason.
its a good mod and works well to break up the long slog of db or gld rsh, but it is a different way of playing and people that haven't played cs tend to either run in and get killed or pussy out and hide, but ill hold my criticisms, and let people get used to it.

I like the new Arena mode, although it will never replace the other gamemodes for me, simply because I'm not a huge fan of having to wait an entire round to play again. The great thing about it is, that you can easily join, play a few quick games and then leave again, as the rounds are a lot shorter than on the other maps. And I love the new Alpine theme, hopefully they'll use it in some future maps as well.

I love the arena mode but i think its not without flaws....

the pros:
you get a LOT of exp for playing no them teaches survival and tatics and really brings out the essence of tf 2 imho

but:

the maps suck from a tactical standpoint. I love slumberyard the artistic envirmont is awesome but but all the maps seems to be slanted towards scouts and pyros and spies..... they are waaaaay to covered (to much stuff to hide behind and too many alternate routes) except well and bad lands there are no viable maps for snoyper unless you are a bot or a wotr member or you have aimbot or something.....

id love them to be a little more open so the snoypers have tiem to tell where the enemies gonna come.... i keeps gettings abushed alls the time

I'd would have said quite the opposite to begin with, first time in and thats all it was.
Then it became scout rush.

I guess on private servers it might be better with people who know what they are doing.

Hate the sitting out a round, and the fact it threatens you that you might miss the next round. If there isnt an even number of players then fine, sit one out, but not when theres like 4 people waiting.

clearly you havn't played sam's arena version it works surprisingly well

I love the new mode. I like how it gets really cagey when the cap countdown approaches zero!
