ARe we running vent on the dedibox now or are we hosting it somewhere else? Can we bump the number of vent slots we've got? I've found a few times now that on Community Match night we can't always get everyone in because vent is so popular! lol. Vent = ++good |

Vent is hosted for use by gameservers. Minty just put I extra 5 slots on it. I like It being hosted like the website because if we have problems with the Dedibox vent and the web still work. |

as far as i know, and i may be wrong on this, you may be able to get a personal licence for vent, but basically you need a licence to run a vent server. I know for a fact the commercial licences are given out on the basis that you have slept with the owner of ventrilo, so thats why you have to go to licenced companies and buy them rather then host on the dedi. If you host an illegal version of vent on your dedi you can be fined. |

If you type '!vent' whilst playing on one of our TF2 servers then Ventrilo will automatically launch in the background and connect you to the regs lobby of our Ventrilo server. It would be possible to create triggers for each channel. e.g. !ventred - to connect you to the red channel for the current server. But not sure yet if it's worth doing. |

Just a quick question/point, you would have had to have joined the channel before and typed the password for this to work wouldn't you? If not, wouldn't this allow muppets to still connect and annoy people after finding the way round.... |

Yeah saw the console tell us about this yesterday and that's just uber awesome. Now I don't have to window tf2 and return to a game of invisible players. |
