HLStats will be going offline in the next 48 hours for an update.

The update will include all the new TF2 weapon and action codes that are currently missing and also add support for Left4Dead 2.

It seems like a good opportunity to perhaps reset the stats. The idea being to keep active all players awards, ribbons and ids, but to zero all other counters and events, i.e. skill, time, etc.

Yes, reset all except ribbons and that stuff.

yeah reset stats, maybe do same as before and list the top few in a thread for posterity's sake? and to give those people a bit of a cheer sorta thing

And there was me hoping to break into the top 1000 since the last reset. I only reached the heady heights of about 1060. Ah well

I had a firm grip of #2 for a few weeks until I decided to take a break for a month. Now the point gap is so enormous, I can't get even remotely close to the top 10 even if I'll have medics kritzing me ten times per second

That's one thing I liked Psychostats for. It's pretty hard to accumulate a lot of points - usually players only get as high as 4000~ points up from the default 1000, and it takes insane k/d ratios to stay up there - whereas a few death streaks to bottom feeders can easily drag you down 200+ points over one map.

So a new player starting out at 1000 could top the stats in a few weeks if he showed some impressive performance. You can't do that in HLStatsX, because there's a 38 thousand points divide between you and the top 10, impossible to mend even with an aimbot and inhuman server activity :\
