Right, sorry to trouble you frog...

I have donated and everything on the forums confirms it.

On server #1 the !don command brought up the menu, and I selected a chat colour. The server then sent an [SM] message in chat saying "This is your new chat colour. However, anything I typed was not in the colour. I tried them all.

Then, in console, I did the donator_tag "My New Message" command and that did nothing (only thing that happened was console saying "unknown command", and the !don menu didn't say that I had one). If I can bring up the !don menu, has it not recognised me as a donator yet? I thought the Steam ID's from the forum linked to the server directly... maybe not...

Anyway, then I rebooted Steam and TF2, and went on server #2. There, I couldn't even get the !don menu, it just typed it in chat.

Have you set your steamid in user settings?

Yes, always had.

There is a record in the donors db that has correct steamid next to your name, so problem was probably because you joined the server before the donor db had been refreshed or the map had changed.
It's working for everyone else, so there is no reason why it shouldn't be working for you, as long as you type the commands correctly. If there is a star above your head then all should be well.

I was just confused because at first I could access the menu (and it didn't work), and then after that I couldn't even access the menu.

Modded my files to turn the donator star into the awesome face (only I see it as it's client side)



should theoretically be doable with any picture file but probably best with transparent background ones.
