Mumble frequenters already know this, but thought I'd make a forum post about it as well:

I'm going to the army tomorrow to serve my mandatory 6 months. During this time, I'll probably only be here for most of the weekends they've got something else planned for us for some weekends.

I'll be there for two weeks straight before I (might) get to go on my first weekend holiday so don't expect to hear from me for a while.

Eh what? In my ignorance I am surprised this is still a thing in some countries, but I guess not doing it is considered very unpatriotic and they probably chuck you in prison if you try and skip it.

So is this pretty much 6 months heavy drinking as training to be an alcoholic?

Have you considered becoming a Jehovah's Witness instead?
