Am I the only one with this problem?

Whenever the start music comes on, it plays for about 5 seconds, then it suddenly stops for about 3 seconds, then it plays another 2 seconds, stops another 3, and keeps doing that until the song ends, it's really annoying. My soundcard is up to date and my speakers are fairly new, this problem only occurs when the starter music comes on, nowhere else in any application.

I've tried messing with the audio settings but it won't help. Could it be the format of the song or that it has the inappropriate kbps?

i used to get this, then when i reformatted my pc, it stopped happening. not very helpful, but at least you know there is a cure.

The sound file is just a low rate mp3.

I have just put on new music which is half the size so maybe that will help
