Checked it. Already at 90
I do but the ability to detonate doesn't appear to activate straight off. So sometimes I clicking the button like crazy and it only eventually goes off. If the target is further away, I can but the target is gone by that time. Projectile weapons are all about timing, I'm not exactly good at that. These aren't excuses. Some advice given to me, I've already tried. Those are ones where I don't need to know them, I need to get the technique right and it might something only I can fix. Sometimes I get direct hits and it kills the player in one shot, but these are mostly flukes when I'm trying to throw a couple of grenades toward the target for splash damage and one just happens to hit home. I guess in the end I'm nothing more than a giant pain in the ass.
I don't appear to be able to make replays. Or I don't know how to. |

Have you considered using TR_Walkway? It's a training map designed to help you hone your aim with any weapon against bots of all classes (so you can get a feel for the speeds of your opponents). The bots don't fight back (iirc?) and endlessly walk forward, but it'll let you get practise against mobile enemies from all sorts of angles. Often heard of this map, so I suppose it comes highly recommended? |

Open console, type "record a", play, when you are done, type "stop" in the console and then go to the folder where the demos are located, e.g.
Also try to practice on servers where there are worse players (also where there are no premium features) to boost your ego and to get to practice more. I was also going to suggest tr_walkway just like DarkVVulf but apparently a recent update broke it http://tf2.gamebanana.com/maps/107794. |

I don't see how going on a server where you know the players are worse than you would boost your ego? I guess I'm not that kind of person and I've never played on any server besides HH. Well I did when I started but once I discovered this group I stopped. How would I go about posting a demo here? Should I make a demo of me playing a few games on the servers tonight or in a singleplayer bot session? |

look at this video from 20 seconds to 30 seconds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrfg_yxit98 (ignore the dickhead rambling on). What is difficult about the mysterious skill of sticky bomb fighting that you do not understand? There is a small delay before you can detonate, that is why you arc your shots up (this also gives extra distance). If you have not grasped that there is a time delay and you are mashing buttons then I can quite see why you struggle with everything else in this game. By now most people would have learned the timing and aim up, fire a sticky then press detonate once. Projectile weapons are more about prediction than timing. You need to be more proactive in researching things. Most of these gameplay tips could have been learned from youtube, however you have no desire to improve and want to be spoon-fed every little bit of information that you then proceed to ignore or rebuff with "its ok its just me (woe is me)". I remember in a highlander match you decided upon yourself to use a pistol for the entirety of the game as scout because you felt that you could not aim. Despite the whole team asking you to use the shotgun. You were of course useless, as pistol is not a primary weapon. So with that in mind, I am done trying to help. I suggest you practice on servers with less of a skill gap, as any normal person would have given up after 200 hours of no improvement whatsoever. |

So I take when you reached your pre-school age you went straight for the PhD.? If you can't beat someone and you want to improve yourself it's better to start practicing on the easier targets. By boosting your ego on easier targets I didn't mean hitting babies and taking their candy, I meant playing against an opponent of a skill equal or lesser than yours. I am very competitive and I almost always have some targets that I like killing and most of the time it's the best guy on the opposing team. This always makes me wanna try to do my best and kill them again and to prove to myself that I am (somewhat, almost there, just a little bit... I'm sorry, that I am honest, but stop being so defensive about yourself and don't undermine your ego by apologizing for everything. Nevertheless, record a game with real people, not with bots, you can just practice on the bots. And if you can't play with sticky launcher, the bots are the best bet, when you are done steamrolling bots you can try normal servers, be patient and don't be discouraged and try to analyze what went wrong (Did the heavy kill me because I was in an open space? Well, don't f'cking stand there, come to him when he is not looking, ignite him and strafe around him changing your direction randomly, axetinguishing him to death.). |

I did sometimes do this and to this day I have no idea why. I tried Pyro once and kept going after opponents of the same class (so Boris in other words). Bad idea
I guess it's just due to times where I'd do something, feel good about myself and then realize it's not really all that much of an achievement since everyone else found it so easy while I found it difficult. Embarrassing, sorta thing. For example, in a previous community, after completing the game the community is based around on the easiest difficulty (I don't just dive into the hardest, although sometimes I stop and raise the difficulty to see if I can), I was told to stop playing in "granny mode". Sounds funny now, but when I've done something I'm not very good at.... I'm not asking for instant gratification or anything. Just a "nice job" or "well done" now and again. I've never had that.
Well, I still do this. Hence why I'm still here (although I feel like I'm wearing out my welcome here). I'd just like a better survival time than 5 secs. It's no fun watching others most of the time. Y'know what? I'm gonna stick with Pyro and Medic, sometimes go for Demoman now and again. Those are the two I do best with, although "best" is a bit strong |

The people earlier that were telling you were playing in a "granny mode" were boosting their ego. Screw those communities. That reminds me of Czech and Slovak communities where everyone is so pro, everybody is telling others that he is the best and the others don't get anything and suck, just typical BS and there are these groups that hold together and if anyone argues with one of them the whole group "destroys" the arguing person. And that goes on and on about every game. This community is completely different and you see no elitists here, even when someone talks BS, he is promptly silenced. Wtf is their business about what you are playing and what difficulty you are playing it at? Just don't forget to post a demo here. |

I did actually get that a few times too. Always "me vs everyone". I eventually left because I was clearly annoying them and wasn't suited for it (It was me, not them being the reason I left) and most of them asked why I was even here if I didn't want to be here (which wasn't there case) some were even glad I was gone. I wasn't argumentative or anything. They just said that they couldn't say anything incase I reacted despite that was the way I felt. Anyway, I'll see what I can do with the replay. Hopefully a session is started later on (Or I'll start it, which I've never really done before). Should I stick with showing my Demoman abilities? |

Sure, a demo demo would be good. |
