The Lighting... Well, a lot of the lights are too Bright. Hopefully that will be Changed in the next releace. However with Buildcubemaps... I ran that... about 10 times, and nothing changed. I had absoloutely no Idea what it did, I was just told to do it.

You need to put a env_cubemap entity in your level, run the map and then put the command in. This will get rid of the purple and black checker problem.

I wondered why the skybox sea was purple! Thanks, thats going into Slaughter house. Apart from these problems, what do you think?

the download times out after about 10 seconds for me. Is there a direct path to the file?

I have no Idea, as I said, this is the first time, so its all trial-and-error. Your gonna have to ask someone who downloadit succesfully. I tried to upload it to FPSbanana, but it wouldn't accept it. I think the easiest way would be to host a server with it as the map, and join that server.

Impatient as always, Ive already began work on SLaughter House. I've already added porches to both buildings, closed a few doors making the rush for the inteligence longer, which will hopefully allow Engies to get a sentry up before the scouts come marching in.
In an effort to make Slaughter house slightly different, I've opened the Blast doors to the Missile silo. However I want anyone who falls down to die, but I can't figure out how to do this. can some weathered mapper tell me? Cheers.
However I NEED feedback from Cow_Shed in order to know whats good, whats bad, whats Ugly (Apart from me.) My Buildcubemaps didn't sort out the sea, I even did it twice. i know I'm doing something wrong.
I've lowered the lighting in the Spawnroom.
Also I closed a few holes that I had noticed.

Yeah aslo with env cubemaps you can select the surfaces you want to shine or are shiney adn it will make them so they reflect the world properly like mirrors can give you detailed instructions though as ive only been sohwn not actually tried it myself.

had a play on this earlier.

lots of pink textures everywhere, very bright. corridors are too narrow i think.

and my fps went down from 60fps to around 5fps
