did you know that the German version of TF2 features all thos funny effects (rubber ducks, alarm clocks etc when you explode) as their standard gibs animation... Im so glad I live in Belgium and dont have to take that shit...

It's those German laws again. "Excessive" violence in computer games is kerbed. So Half Life had robots instead of marines, and the blood was green, not red.
I suppose the aliens kept their yellow body juice though.

As far as I know they relaxed the law a bit, but not by much.

Its even worse... C&C Generals had to be entirely changed, no maps that looked like a Middle-Eastern city, no normal soldiers (coz you could burn them alive or expose them to deadly toxines), so they put robots (who said things like "Losing servo-oil" when they got hit)... Dunno how they managed the whole suicidal units of the GLA though...

I wouldnt be surprised if a lot of germans pirated games just so they could play what everyone else is getting.
