Post Terminology of Maps
Just wrote a new topic re: Goldrush and got to thinking, I remember seeing somewhere a list of references for the different locations in 2Fort. I think it would be a good idea to have a place on here to refer to so we can learn the the proper names of the map locations, avoiding confusion in games etc.

I know I get tongue tied often when trying to describe where the next Uber rush is coming from.

Let's see these are the one's I know for sure:

Battlements
Spawn
Grate
Spiral (staircase)
Ramp Room (rarely courtyard - RR most common though)
Straight (staircase)
Basement
Flag room (for brevity)
Sewer Tunnel
Sewer Entrance
Sewer Health
Sewer staircase
Base entrance
Bridge
Bridge roof
Courtyard

These are a bit fuzzy:

The long corridor from the secondary spawn drop-down that leads into the ramp room.
The parallel corridor to that one leading from the top of sewer stairs, past base entrance to the ramp room.

As with all language and colloquialisms there is significant room for variation, particuarly between players from different countries and backgrounds (i.e. brand spanking newbie TF2 players to grizzled TFC vets ~ like Hito and PiLsY :D )

Hope that helps a bit, just ask if any are left you wondering WTF mate :P
