I'm aware there's most likely not anyone here who has use for it but since I finally managed to work out the only major flaw I figured I could post it just in case.

When I purchased the game -after playing the free weekend uncensored- I was deeply saddened by the fact that it was cut (german...guilty) so I looked around for alternatives, and the only bloodpatch that's around did do the trick, allthough it had the side-effect of crashing my game whenever someone deployed a KritzKrieg-Charge on me/near me. Became quite a hassle with more medics getting it I tell ya.

Anyway, got rid of the 1 file causing the trouble at last, so hereby I am proud to present you my
TF2 UncutPatch v3

I also added quite some files to the common one to have it look more like the original, uncut game. Gibbing people just isnt fun without blood raining from the sky.

HF if you got use for it.

P.S.: Funny Gibs still included, only added blood for hit-detection and thrills.
P.P.S.: This will most likely not enable funny gibs for allready uncut versions, if you want that, download it from fpsbanana or somesuch.

Will my standard UK orange box version be un-cut anyway?

The heavy will often have a blood smeared face and rolling heads regularly leave trails of blood!

If it adds to the hit detection that would be kinda cool though. I'd always thought that TF2 didnt have very detailed damage modelling for a Source game. Things like HL2 are pretty accurate where you hit things.

Yeah, it should be- allthough using it would probably add some blood since I added a few custom blood decals. On the other hand the downside would be that you'd get black pixels instead of blood on sv_pure 2 servers...probably not worth the trouble if you're not forced to play with yellow, hardly visible blood. ;)

Haha, I wish.
There's no workaround except importing a UK/US version and hoping their CS is having a good day when you ask to activate the import and get a refund for the censored version. :roll:

I believe I tried everything that comes to mind, including deleting, protecting & editing the low_violence.cgf, but no matter what you do it will re-download said file.

This is a -to me- satisfying solution though, I dont care if I got unicycles, rubberducks and hamburgers flying around instead of bodyparts- just the blood makes a HUGE difference. Imo.

Just found an old screenshot, look at this, gibbing people looks like ass w/o blood, which is replaced by those tiny yellow-ish confetti-like sparks.

Since the server suddenly is sv_pure 1, no more blood at all. Yay.
Trying to drive me away, arent ya.

Khola the blood you see, doesent mean youve hit some one, jsut the model of the person, so you often think youve hti someone but youve competly missed so it wont allow you to hit detect better :)
sv pure is to stop people using mods to cheat, xhairs for the sniper etc.

Do we really need it? If someone is determined to cheat they'd stick a crosshair on their screen with a bit of transparent tape, or draw one on.

Primarily its to stop wallhacks. Theres a very simple wallhack around that simply replaces the character models, along with a few others such as demos sticky bombs etc, meaning you can see them through walls. Also, because its a simple model replacement this will never be detected by VAC.
