Post mp_timelimit?
What's it currently set to? Just wondering as it seems pretty long recently. I realise with dustbowl and stuff taking so long it needs to be fairly high, but if a round goes stagnant its a heck of a long time to wait fighting over no mans land until the map ends. Is it possible to give ctf maps a timelimit, say 20mins instead of a capture limit and reset?

Idle mind, random thoughts and all that...

Hmmm I much prefer to simply have a capture limit rather than a time limit. For me a time limit destroys exactly what ctf is all about.

I agree.

So many time a have seen my team just get the Cp in the last min.
People do same to push for it when the time is clocking down.

cp maps yeah I agree, but they're on a roundlimit anyway? My disjointed early morning thinking making my posts hard to decipher! I'm thinking more of ctf, going to a cap limit to win seems to encourage a very defensive attitude. Just wondered if a timelimit and no capture limit would open the game up. CTF always used to be time limit and win on score in the past. Would probably only affect 2fort (don't think there's any other CTF maps in the original pack - _travesty!_ ) and a couple of lesser customs for now.

I was playing on 2fort yesterday, it got to 3 points to blue and red just clamped down, 6 engineers actually. Wondering if this may help to stop that. It'd be nice to have the odd frantic cap race instead of drawn out death march to steal one. Has anyone else found this or am I just being a grumpy old man? ;)

Although its just occured that its not really ctf as you have to capture 4 to win the round, and it goes on rounds, not the score of an individual round. Bloody hell I've confused myself now :?.

I would prefer a more traditional 3 captures to win rather than 4. It's the norm for most ctf games.
