1. Get rid of server 3, 24/7 SpamRush/SpamLoad is meh, or change it to a custom maps server. Custom maps are rarely played on the servers which is a shame as there's some great ones out there
2. Have fewer slots on the servers, would make it less spammeh
3. Make them less laggy (which is solved in point number 2 actually)

But yeah it's a bit of a lag fest and not very fun cause of it.

I'm up for being shot.

I like Goldrush, must be one of the few that do still like it.
I know people complain that the defending team always win, but thats so not true. The maps are balanced in the same way the dust bowl is, so the first map is stacked for attacking and the last is for defence.

Only times I get lag is if I leave something downloading, which I sort of notice quickly, when finis is jumping and then stops, and when other people have high pings.

So rather then cut the slots, I'd rather a ping limit was brought in.

And custom maps don't get played becuase people either don't like them, or don't know them - and the times that they come on, people leave - I left yesterday when busytown came on, ok map but is boring after 10 minutes...

Goldrush would still be on the other maplists, but it wouldn't have a server dedicated to it. A ping limit won't help much, but cutting the slots will improve lag and make the gameplay more fun.

i think the servers not too bad atm. 1 and 2 are public and open for people to come along. you a reg now we have the reg server. server 3 has nearly always been then fashionista server. so new maps new fevers ext. tbh i though having it with just payload maps was a good idea but we had a lack of maps. want some serious game play? well no crit is there. In terms of spam critty messy games. wellllll thats kinda the point. most servers are about as big as ours and by design the game is ment to be order in chaos. and we do try to have some organized matches ie reg night. and now that you have your server and if you ask nicely to ppl you can set up more nights or there is the no crit one. Not all games are great some matches are better than others you need a lot to click to have those really good ones. Alternatively play another fps that isnt based on splatter n madness. CoD4 for example. In regards to lag haven't had bad experiences in months now considering lag at least server side lag. Try dragging your disk or the steam game files done it recently and really helped.

Server 3 is always empty when I look at it.
Since we have a server catering for the serious players (#4 which I hasten to add is empty too), How about something geared toward casual players? Maybe not IR, but something the average 24/7 2fort casual player would like to go on?

And I like the player limits on 1 and 2. It's chaos, but not too much that an organised team can't win. That's more to do with spawn times than player limits.

And I have a terrible connection, but never lag. Defrag often and check there's no apps (or viruses, etc) that are eating your bandwidth. Stuff can hijack bandwidth without you ever knowing. If it's jerking lag, it's doubtless more to do with YOUR comp than the servers.

I don't have jerking lag but shots weren't registering for me last night at all.

Ok, so lets get this straight Sam. We have just launched a 20 slot reg administrated server which you (and the rest of the REGs) have control over to be able to do exactly as you desire. But you don't see the point in it and instead criticise the other servers when in fact a more positive approach would be to make the best of the servers that are more in line with your preferences.

As a reminder of what servers we have and the number of slots on them.

HH1 = 24 slots
HH2 = 24 slots
HH3 = 20 slots
HH4 = 16 slots
HH5 = 20 slots

It seems pretty obvious that if you want to play on a server with less players and then play on a server with less slots.

It's also worth remembering that an opinion is just that.. one opinion, and everyones opinion is going to be different in some way or another. So we can't expect everyone to like everything, but the fact that we do offer a variety means that there should be something for everyone.

To suggest that we get rid of a server because you don't like it is just plain ridiculous. Just don't play on it if it offends you that much.

By the way I think we should great rid of the forum because I don't like this smilie Bloody Father Xmas... bah humbug
