The video is good but it left a few piont out which ithink are very important so read my guide to get fully operation and well informed
Well i concocted a small class guide fpr heavy and spy so i will be willing to share....
Russian Roulette with 200 bullets : A non-comprehensive guide to play the heavy by Wistfane
Chapter 1:Think Fast or Think Fat
A heavy is exactly what he sounds like: a fat bulcular piss poor shooter with an eating disorder. You must ALWAYS keep this in mind since this means your build up fat helps you to nullify some the damage by absorbing allsorts of matter from pistol bullets to bazooka rockets. You however are not invincible, you are more like Titanic, big enof to take on the world but are popped by a little prick, namely Spies and Snoypers. Heavy fulfills a great role on the offense and defense, by blocking narrow passages like lard does with his arteries.Your best buddy a is obviously a medic who provides him with a constant supply of gamma radiation which has the adverse effect of prolonging the heavies life. If left unchecked the two will start to glow like two X-men survivors of the Chernobyl accident.
Chapter Two: Arms and Legs
The heavy has a minigun a shotgun and his two best friends Mishka and Grishka(fists) who help him out oppening all those cans of whoop ass that safely stopred in his fat belly.
Subsection (i) How to kill people with lots of noise Your minigun is by far your best friend and you should spend a lot of time with him. Since it has a wide spread and massive damage try to use it as much in point blank range and only in life or deth situations at mid range (half way from one balcony to the other on FORT). Anywhere further than that is a waste of ammo and god you dont have much of it. 200( aw god why cant it be 300) is a deceit full number it lies to you.. remember that coz if you play your cards right you will often end up with little ammo so you must go the carriers office and get your masters degree in Hobo Scanvenging, steal all the fightmoney(burrets) you can find. How ever you must get a 'feel' on how and when to use your minigun. Here are some advices on how to do this:
When: Always run around with a shot gun on corners or long corridors since your biggest enemies are soldiers who like to play a game of 10-mile-whack- a- mole by popping out of corners blowing their load and popping back, in order to dodge thier missiles (just coz you move like turtoise in a wheelchair doesnt mean you cant dodge rockets and other projectiles like flying bricks)and hit them on time. Also when demomen give you a hard time its always best to blast em with your shotty since you are just mobile enof to dodge thier mines and grenades and still kick ass. Best places to use the mini gun are narrow places like: -junction of two corridors ( Fort, Dustbowl, Gravel Pit) - small rooms (Fort, Dustbowl Gravel Pit) - ballconies (coz you can drop from them and surprise any wise guys coming from the other end)(Fort Dustbowl)
How: Lern to expect your enemies by studyin the 'hot spots' on the map where you most likely gonna encounter hostile activity. An spin your wheels in preparation.... When your fire the bad guys wont stand still (delaying the inevitable), and its up to your to 'predict' where the COWARDS!!! are gonna scatter so as to give them lead poisoning before them vanish. Try to shoot a little ahead of the enemy escape route since the minigun will only then hit them. For some reason the bullets have a delay in TF2.
Chapter 3: A peoples person
Lern how to synergies your efforts with some of the team mates for maximum effect: here are some tips
Dr. Jerkyll and Mr. Heavy Weapons Guy A medic is your best friends and does his best job to make him happy. He is like the little creepy girl from bioshock and your are his big daddy so act accordingly. And meaning that he keeps your alive does mean your invincible try to sometimes pay attention to your health bar and know when to retreat and die another day.
Laurell and Hardy Spy and heavy make a great demolishion department. Try to co ordinate with a fellow spy to sap the sentry which its inactive give it a lead shower.
Chapter 4: Dodge this!!! Eat that!!
there arem illions of ways to kill a heavy. Shoot him in the head ,stab him or tip him over when he is asleep. Here is how i try to stay alive and crawling
Snoypers: When you see a snoyper aiming at your dont try to run away if you are in the open he WILL hit your shoot him instead it will mess hit aiming and he will probably miss the shot giving you enof time to get out of sight.
END I will update this guide every now and then. CHEERS

Only dumb spies use the crowded and tight passages if they're avoidable. And if it's not, there's going to be atleast 3 passages and not all of them will have Heavys and Pyros in them.

It's not uncommon to run right through the Heavy bullets at far range and have every one of them miss you. If you're at close range it's quite easy to simply jump over the firing cone of the minigun. Just take an ounce of practice is all
That was a quality guide, Wistfane. I don't see enough Heavies using their shotty (I'm sure sascha won't be too jealous ). And you hit the nail on the head, positioning is everything. The difference between a average Heavy and a great one is tactical awareness. I'm still trying to make the transition myself

In my experience there's also an element of picking your targets, particularly on offense.
I tend to mentally prioritise my opponents when I walk around a corner and see a mob of the other team. Sentries are my first and primary target, and I'll happily ignore the pyro thats burning me to death if I can take out the L3 Sentry that's exploding my team mates.
After that, I tend to go for Medics, Pyros, Engies, or anyone else foolish enough to get close.
That's probably just a personal preference on the whole, but I figure there's an element of importance to shooting the right guys at the right time.
