its good way-to-go disguise if you been over using the top favorites like pyro or demo........
The trick here is to alternate your disguises every two kills or so, if you get stabbed wearing a pyro suit they won't be too cautious of the Demos or the Engineers the next time around, then you might wanna hop to Sniper. It's really all about being able to "act". Seeing a Scout that can't outrun you when you're a Pyro or any class with the same runspeed has always been a dead giveaway if the person is keen-eyed enough to notice, or a Scout that's hanging around the defense area and not attacking can be suspicious, I understand where you're coming from and it's all alot of circumstance really. Live the moment

Spy is also not a bad diguise some times you can just pull it off just dont bump into anyone....
In the heat of battle you will most likely not see the colors on the Spy, just the Spy itself and you'll probably shoot at him instinctively. It's too much of a gamble when you're in a game where you need to be cautious. Personally I've never been able to do a good job or last long enough disguised as an enemy Spy. I've tried to work around it but people are just too sketchy about it. I agree with you that it's not bad if you want to hang around the local spawn and act like you just haven't put on your disguise yet.
Re: Eion's guide to deception and cold blooded death.
good stuff! now i know all your secrets!!! The b key auto disguises you with your last costume. its handy even after you die or in different servers or sessions heck i've logged in and pressed b. On a more personal note disagree with some of the disguises. I find that a demo is a great disguise. 1) they have a legitimate reason to be anywhere. 2) TBH no one cares too much about them so not many questions are asked 3) often run back usually shooting so kinda a dead give away. Pyros i find are a bad idea those simple folk (looking at you Lt. Dan) are always torching something (still looking at you Dan) pyro doesn't shoot i ask questions. Also as a sniper i find just tapping left and right as if dodging works pretty well. Also for H|H purposes when in sudden death dont count on disguises too much as your the one with a gun. Also Heavies are great because no one expects that. Also medics are glued to heavies. Which lead to my greatest spy moment i think. I was a heavy in hydro (the bit where you are on the death grinder of the two dirt tracks on the top) ne who got a medic to heal me and as i ran back leading him to his sure death he decided to panic at the sight of the rest of my team and decided to uber me. I kept running laughing my ass off as i imagined him yelling at me for not shooting someone. Once the uber ended we all laughed and turned him into a paste. I know this is probably not the norm.

Well, I see your points and it can be efficient but you need to count on that the other team aren't too familiar with how Spys work. Remember that all of the focus goes on the Heavy/Medic team most of the time, this means that all of the gunfire from your team would normally go through you if you're on the way and you'd most likely be killed by that alone. Another thing is that if you're going to blend in with the Medics running you'll need to assume they won't even second guess that you don't have your healing thingy out and that you don't have an ubercharge meter when they mouse-over you.
Keep in mind that the Medics are the ones everyone wants to live and you'll probably end up in Pyro flames for hanging around there for too long, that's why you want to look as little as a Spy as possible, thus blending in.
As for the Heavy disguise, it's good if you're in a tight safe spot in the enemy base and you need some health from a Medic and you want to get out, but they're too slow. Half of the challenge is to catch up with the enemy team so you can start killing them and then getting out of there ASAP, you won't get much done being the slowest class in the game. And don't forget that people will be knocking into you all the time as a Heavy, wanting to get past you if you're in a tight spot. And if they can't get past you it's a dead giveaway. This is less noticable as a class with the same speed if it's not a full frontal colission.
I agree with what you said about Sudden Death, it's best to just cloak in behind the team and get them and recloak to get out of harms way. But the thing about Pyros always flaming somewhere and the points you brought up on why Demoman is a good disguise... Pyros also have a good excuse to be anywhere, be it a corner to ambush an unsuspecting little person, or if it's rushing the enemy base to attack, and even guarding the sentries against me, the spy. They also have medic love if there's one present, and this will psychologically reduce suspicion of Spy disguise. Same goes for Demoman, and any class really, but still. Demos can also be very suspected if they're standing around one place without any stickies present or if no grenades are being lobbed into someplace. I always stab at any Demo I see because it's something "new" spies do because of the hotkey placement, it's basically "4 4 yay disguise lets go!".
It all comes down to experience of the enemy team in the end, that's why I prefer to stick with the sureshot classes. Funny story about the Medic that ubered you though, I've also been ubered but I've never managed to humiliate them like you did, good job!

Pyro is bad. Simple reason it only takes the tip of the flame and your gone... Also if your pyro you stand out like a sore thumb if your close to them.
Anyway good guide so far keep up the good work with pics.
