i was wondering, as the custom server isnt used very much, is it worth changing back to normal AND turn on Friendly Fire (as this is now fixed)?
its a shame the custom isnt used that much, i have sat on it a few times trying to seed it but i've not been very successful. It must cost you cash every month, so having it full of ppl would be more worth it than empty.
It's a damn shame no one uses that server. I love playing dustbowl and gravelpit but a bit more variety in maps can only be a good thing. Maybe we should try to coordinate some kind of schedule to get some regulars at a fixed time on the server?
I haven't played on a FF server yet, wouldn't spies have too much of an advantage especially on a pub? Eion would probably love it though

As Mister Moany, I should like to add that some maps dont seem to load up properly on the Custom server. (namely the much under played Mach2)
Some maps like Lazytown are older versions with bugs. So it would be nice to update with Lazytown_e for example.
Also, the servers (1 and 2) seem to get really laggy sometimes when the numbers exceed 20. So it might be a idea to reduce the capacity abit or get on the phone to the hosts and tell them to get their act together and provide more bandwith for the 24 players paid for. (Thx again btw. $$$£££)
Personally I would prefer 3 'normal' servers, as I am often denied play time on the full HH servers. (With Full rotation -minus Well, but each with a couple of customs a piece.)

Just because your pings not 6 when it exceeds. Get over it seriously waney if you can get under 50 ping be happy...
It's less of a case of 50+ pings and more of a case of turning a corner, freezing for 5 seconds then finding yourself halfway across the map on fire being punched to death by a Heavy.
I've also noticed that it lags more since the limit was upped to 24
I also think that some maps have become a lot harder to play especially as the attacking team. Maybe the spawn times should be put back to default?

24 players need class limits. Should be a maximum of 2 snipers and 3 medics/pyros/hwguys/engineers/demos. Lots of scouts, soldiers and spys don't seem to break the game as the propensity for spam isn't there. And snipers are just bloody anonying and you don't NEED more than 2 on your team. Infact 1 good sniper should be plenty, but you can't control quality of player with class limits.
Too often now ive been faced by teams of 5+ demos, engys or pyro's. Yeah its funny to own a team like that but its no fun being on the receiving end and its just IMPOSSIBLE to do anything against that. Yesterday on dustbowl we had 4 sentries covering the exit of the attackers respawn on the last cap and 3 demos with pipetraps too. We spent 15 minutes not getting more than 5 metres from the respawn exit. The game was awful as the blue team were just getting fed up and leaving almost immeadiately on joining as it was just a spam fest. 4 or 5 sentries outside the defenders respawn on the 2nd dustbowl round is also common and tbh a bit crap for gameplay.
Fair play sometimes needs to be actively encouraged, and if that means discouraging spam (and you can spam with sentry guns fyi! ) then its all for the good as i see it.
