When i connect to your customs server it does the loading then sticks at the downloading maps and does not move and this has happened a few times. I dont know why its doing it now as ive downloaded maps before from the server.
Any ideas ?

Its not just one...Its ALL.

Have you got cl_allowdownload "1" in your config.cfg file mate? If not it wont work .

Other than that look at your router firewall. It could be blocking TFP protocols over your tf2 port (game traffic runs off UDP I think so should work regardless.

If you can get the make and model of your router i'll see what I can find out if you like?

This is all assuming its not just our server that you can't download from of course...

The maps it was on was Castle3 and junction_v2 and the config file contains the cl_allowdownload 1 in it.
I think ill head over to fpsbanana and download the ones i see running when i can drag myself off TF2.

I am getting very slow map downloads as well, I tried manually downloading them (http://www.hampshireheavies.clanservers ... /tf2/maps/), but it looks like the server is running a bandwidth limiter, as I can't get more than 11 kB/sec.

Yes there seems to be something wrong with the downloading. Not sure how long people
waited but it the download is extremly slow and downloading a map takes around 20 minutes
at least.

I will check tonight if the compression works. Might be that they are not compressed properly
or some weird server setting that we messed up.

I'll say we remove all the custom crap and make it into a vanilla server
