Hi guys,
I was playing with a guy called 'shit_pete' who was a Nemesis, whom I went after and killed. He said he wondered why I was after him and I said something like 'sweet sweet revenge'. His next comment was hugely disproportionate to the tone of the conversation, and was an extremely offensive comment directed at my family.

I don't want to seem petty, but I don't expect this kind of abuse on an HH server, which I consider very highly indeed, and they are my servers of choice.

i'll be keeping an eye out for him next time, as will everyone else.

No reason at all why you should expect abuse like that. It's one thing calling someone you've played on the HH servers a fair bit with a "git" for example, in fun, but no need to be offensive. Some people need to remember they're playing a game (and revenge is part of this game - you wouldn't get extra points for it otherwise).

yeah definatly, this thing isn't on. in future and as a notice to other people please take a screen shot of the text, if possible.

Don't know about anyone else but I've noticed this sort of thing is getting more common. As is the quality of the general atmosphere.

think the only thing we can do about it is let people know we dont tolerate this kind of stuff and if they encounter it they should let us know because we are more than happy to slap some politness into people.

Yes it's not nice when someone is offensive at you, but that happens everywhere. what makes it better is knowing that if an admin is on, or if you have evidence etc something will definatly get done about it by the Heavies.

Perhaps put something about it on the MOTD? "We dont tolerate rudeness, screen short any abuse and well sort it best we can?" kinda message?
