Hi guys, I was playing with a guy called 'shit_pete' who was a Nemesis, whom I went after and killed. He said he wondered why I was after him and I said something like 'sweet sweet revenge'. His next comment was hugely disproportionate to the tone of the conversation, and was an extremely offensive comment directed at my family. I don't want to seem petty, but I don't expect this kind of abuse on an HH server, which I consider very highly indeed, and they are my servers of choice. Cheers, Bewilderbeest |

i'll be keeping an eye out for him next time, as will everyone else. if i see him, i'll observe behaviour. |

Hi Bewilderbeest, No reason at all why you should expect abuse like that. It's one thing calling someone you've played on the HH servers a fair bit with a "git" for example, in fun, but no need to be offensive. Some people need to remember they're playing a game (and revenge is part of this game - you wouldn't get extra points for it otherwise). Cheers, Lt Dan. p.s. Don't know about anyone else but I've noticed this sort of thing is getting more common. As is the quality of the general atmosphere. |

you mean we're getting more riffraff coming in!?1 see i told you hiring a bouncer was a good idea.... think the only thing we can do about it is let people know we dont tolerate this kind of stuff and if they encounter it they should let us know because we are more than happy to slap some politness into people. Yes it's not nice when someone is offensive at you, but that happens everywhere. what makes it better is knowing that if an admin is on, or if you have evidence etc something will definatly get done about it by the Heavies. Perhaps put something about it on the MOTD? "We dont tolerate rudeness, screen short any abuse and well sort it best we can?" kinda message? |

well done for checking it out and banning mate- safe to say if I see him on any other server I will 'go after' him like a Rottweiler on booze  some disputes between players are gonna happen, but when it becomes insulting on that level- kick kick kick ban |

I think as the server grows in popularity its only natural that there will be more wankers as well as more quality players who are out to have a good time. Last week I had some cry baby on our team who was being quite insulting to our team members for being on the losing side. I told him to calm down and enjoy the game and was backed up by another reg (I believe it may have been Quaid) and he quit his antisocial behavior. I think that it is up to us as mods and regs to keep the general atmosphere positive. It's the reason we all love to play on H|H. If people want to be horrible to each other they can go play on any one of the thousands of other servers and leave us to enjoy ourselves. Good on you for the banning Gimpster!!! |
