wonder what the acheivements to get the new gun will be......will there be per say a new niche market for players without the acheivement for building ubers quickly for rushes in clan matches...in which case i hope the achievement is something you could aim to get on purpose and less by accident as switching and having some uber rushes could turn the tide of a match...but then again they might intend pretty much everyone to have the new gun...kinda eliminating the old playstyle of focusing on limited people in favor of trying to support the whole team and possibly having the medic less in the line of fire...well im not a medic primarily....but wouldnt mind a perma boost to my demoman's pitiful 175hp
From what I gather, you get the choice of which medigun you carry. And I assume Valve will go for the no uber option, in order to give players a reason to choose between the 2. What would be the point if they both had ubercharge? Everyone would go for the new gun and the original would be the poorer cousin. I suppose the real question is, what will the other classes get? The solly already has a rocket launcher, the heavy a great whacking minigun. Maybe they'll give the solly an assault rifle?

at the moment TF2 is a rifle free zone.....and i dont think that they will give out new weapons to classes like demomen or soldiers.....because their weakness's are built into their weapons...i mean a soldier has the rocketlauncher for long-mid range and a shotgun for short range....personally i think it would imbalance them if they had a more accurate mid-long range weapon..or even it being used for spray and pray at short range which they previously couldnt with the reload time on the shotgun. I think that if they give stuff to other classes it will be more in line of what the medics are getting (a different version of an existing gun)..for example giving spies longer cloak time or improved sappers that explode when hit off by an engi etc...would imagine scouts would get a further mobility buff....maybe wall jumping as well as double jumping...wouldnt be bad, could allow them to hop along walls over water or get ontop of buildings (scout really cant do much at range so i dont see the harm)..one thing i would like to see though..is if engi's will get a new build(think a 4th level sentry would be a bit ott) well anyway i hope in the end they give it a fair amount of testing before releasing anything to make sure its balanced...anyone who plays/played WoW can understand.
One thing id love them to put a spin on is the shoguns so four classes share the same shot gun it be nice differesiate between them....... here my soughts
Heavy will have a bluderbuss buff which has incresed damage but less burrets
Scouts will have less damage but faster reload and no reloads between shots
Pyro will get bursting bullets but he has to reload after EACH shot for a long time
Solly will a big clip and increased range or something but again less damage
As for primaries i hope the engy can get a flaming turret
haevy would get a minigun with more ammo and no spin up but greatly decresed damage
I dont know what to think of those new loadouts, I think the game is just great as it is, we just need more good valve maps But new weapons sound so damn interesting !!
About your thoughts on the scout scattergun:
It takes 2 shots from the scattergun to take a engi down (from close range, like sneaking up from behind)... Believe me, if the scout gets a scattergun with no reload at all (like an auto-shotgun), the scouts will be one of the deadliest class (except for their low hp): move fast around your enemy, once youre close to your opponent, unload the whole clip in him by clicking like a madman. Result: anyone who knows how to move will rush in, kill his target and be out of danger in, lets say, 6 seconds... Less damage ok, but then you would need a really big damage decrease to not make it overpowered. But then, it would be the same as the normal scout, just that you shoot more often but reload faster... In short: I wouldnt go for it...
They might give him the auto pistol from the early preview videos. Seems a perfectly balanced alternative to the scattergun. And I bet the demoman will get that dynamite detonation pack eventually. So instead of a sticky bomb, he gets to throw a cluster grenade type weapon.
i've always wished that they would change it so the demo's stickies stay after he gets killed. makes no sense that they just disappear. would be a bit unfair tho. imagine dustbowl with just 2 demos defending point.
