MGEmod is now available on our TF2 server HH5 (Gerald)

MGEMod is aimed at players looking to improve their aim and movement, or anyone that wants to play some 1v1. Gameplay consists of multiple arenas which players can join and engage in duels with other players. The 13 different 1v1 arenas include sections of official and custom 5CP maps, BBall, and Endif (an old QuakeWorld favorite). Comprehensive stats using a ELO rating system are available via our website and in-game.



Overview

• Multiple arenas ranging from middle fights to BBall and everything in between.
  
  
• Type !add to join an arena, !remove to leave.
  
  
• Different arenas have different class restrictions. Most arenas allow the following: Soldier, Demo, Scout, and Sniper.
  
  
• MGEMod features an ELO Rating system. You start at 1600 points, and can gain more by winning duels. You can view stats here.
  
  
• Players start with a half buff on most arenas. The buff system was tested extensively to make sure we simulate the most realistic game-like experiences, and have the most balanced fights.
  
  
• You will instantly spawn after each death with a new buff and replenished ammo.
  
  
• First to 20 wins the duel. The loser is put at the end of the line for that arena while the winner stays in to fight the next player. If no one is in line a new duel will start with the same players.
  
  
• If you change classes during a duel, a point will be awarded to your opponent.
  
  
• If you leave an arena early when your opponent has more than 3 kills, you will lose the points for that duel.

Change map to mge_training_v7 via the Sourcemod menu.

Commands
!add OR !mgemod [arena number/arena name] - Show the menu of arenas.
!remove - Leave your current arena or queue.
!top5 - Display the Top 5 rated players.
!hitblip - Toggle the blip sound that plays when you score a direct hit with a projectile.
!hud OR !hidehud - Toggle the display of the text hud overlay
!rank OR !stats [player name] - View your rank [or view another player's rank]
!first - Join the first available arena.

I can see this turning into a HH tournament of sorts. One thing though, is it possible to disable crits?

what? tournament? Dont make a tournament out of everything ._x

Crits are now disabled for the MGE map.
A tournament at some point would be great.
The rating/ranking system will work as kind of an ELO ladder.

(It's not currently logging to the MySQL database so need to sort that.)

Are all unlocks allowed? I can see certain unlocks to be overpowered, e.i. Mad Milk.

Seeing as it's 1 on 1, surely players could agree on item restrictions between themselves?

Yes, I'm not going to mod the mod by putting weapon restrictions on it.

Yes, there's nothing banned/blacklisted, and for goodness' sake don't even start talking about balance. That's not what it's about.
