Sicne when was the heavy dominant ? I mean i was kicked their arses up and down goldrush earlier (as per usual) as solly with stock loadout :P

Drop sandvich, win. Also normaly random kritz render heavy domination useless, but since 99% dont want them ..you see the problem.

Well, the new unlocks arent as bad as I thought first, annoying but not bad. Thinking about the Sci-Fi stuff of the 50/60 my thoughts are that the weapons do fit in, but somehow they dont fit the general theme sadly.

Just a heads up 3 rockets known off in game one has been found

there's 2 more rockets out there on maps, it'd be a good guess that they contain another class update in each.

In fact it could well be engineer

looks like something from SC2

also this site has other weapons not used yet

On to the guns themselves, it's way to early to tell what good there gonna be, but god damn they look hidious and the effects they give off are headache inducing, i do hope they are toned down a bit.

That laser on gravelpit fits the theme though, and it's not particularly detailed or futuristic. I could actually imagine that thing existing in the 50s/60s.

The new weapon models just have all this stuff bolted onto them and it doesn't look right. It doesn't look like something that would actually exist and function in the 50s... it looks like something people in the 50s would imagine to exist in the future. Which doesn't really fit, imo.

edit: ahh hmm thought you were saying something else than i thought you were, nevermind.

I think frog just pöywned you. :P In my opinion they fit the style quite well. Stuff that you could see in comics and cartoons in the 50's and 60's.

Deviating a little from the topic, apologies, but on the whole "valve don't care about competitive/pro players etc." topic, I'd like to say that TF2 has managed to remain accessible to new/casual players for an exceptionally long time for an FPS game, most tend to devolve into very elitest environments with exceptionally skilled players being the only people left populating the servers, with scripted-out-the-nose configs and exploiting every possible little quirk of the engine. (Excluding the new generation of multiplayer FPS games with levelling up systems and whatnot, I've avoided them as a whole so I can't speak for what they're like over time.)

tl;dr: Props to Valve for managing to keep TF2 accessible for so long. And I hope it's still going another 4 years from now.

Look, you're complaining about the wrong thing here, and missing the REAL reason why the weapons do not fit into the game at all.

See, according to the update page, the weapons are "aether oscillators" . As "Aether" pretty much means air, these weapons reload with fresh air.

THEN HOW COME THEY CAN RELOAD UNDERWATER?

IT'S LIKE VALVE DON'T EVEN TEST THEIR UPDATES!
