There is no question that what is happening here goes against the licence of Sourcemod. ALL plugins that are distributed in public have to include the source. This is inescapable. There is no room for opinion. It doesn't matter if the guy is aware of this or not. The point is that I am.

Any half-decent plugin author knows this, but remember you are not dealing with the plugin author here. Whoever it is says that it is unlikely that they would be able to get the source. So in regards to an ACTIVE (check the official website) private project, what is happening here is just wrong. Distributing someone elses work that is reported to be private is wrong. Distributing binaries without the source is wrong under the terms of the SM licence.

From the brief glances I've given it, it is highly likely that it is a windows server only project, if that is the case then it's not something we can run. Also there is no point in chasing someone that is not the author. It's better to watch the official website and wait for a public release.

Shame really, looked like a fun mod

edit - had a chat with him. He got very angry. I don't think it's fair at all to accuse him of stealing the plugin, at least not without hard evidence... I haven't seen any indication that the project was ever private, and his TF2TD site sees to have been up for at least a year and had frequent postings by the same guy who uploaded the links in this time. (Although you seem to indicate you found another site claiming to be the official one, so I might have this wrong?) What we can definitely accuse him of is not releasing the source, which isn't right.

edit2 - He has now deleted his reddit account, his tf2td steam group, the tf2td website and taken down his servers. A moderator I chatted to took down his reddit post as well.
