Re: Sudden Death
I vote for no sudden death... and for the stalemate thing to come up at the end of a game
However there are a couple of things that should be looked at
Gravelpit
Blue's timer is running down and goes into overtime as Blue cap B. Then Blue cap and the round ends with no time awarded so we can get C
Any 5CP map
Its 1-0 to red, the timer is running down, blue has had 4 CPs for the last 15 mins and we get a map vote Then blue launches a do or die attack and caps the last point to make it 1-1. The map ends with 4min 30 left on the clock. I'm sure both teams would like to make it 2-1 in their favour

Re: Sudden Death
I have to admit to liking melee sudden death.
As freddie says, being able to change class and weapon quickly is great in case you're lumbered with Scout or Axtinguisher Pyro. Demo with Half-Zatoichi is my choice for SD, especially if you are up against other Zatoichi wielders, makes it quite tense. If you're worried about overpowered melee classes, then change to one.
I'd rather a quick end to a stale match, than normal sudden death, which often ended up with 2 opposing engies turtling and refusing to move, while everyone else gets bored and disconnects. And forcing people to play a class that isn't their choice is not a good idea for the reasons freddie mentioned before.
If some class or weapon is op, you could always choose to use that class or weapon. But that's exactly the problem. Once upon a time, Sudden Death was called "Sudden Death", because you could not be healed. But now, each team will always run 4 Amputator Medics (4 is max on HH) and Demos and Soldiers with Half-Zatoichi.
Melee SD happens more often on HH1 than you think. If teams are well balanced it can happen 3 times on one cp map.
