I wouldn't mind playing the occasional vanilla game. But getting it pushed through a vote will probably lead to me playing even less on HH1. I personally think a vanilla server would be better than a vanilla vote.

If it's to be vanilla with a hint of ....

Then please list the weapon index ids of ALL the weapons that should be blocked.

The weapon index ids are in the far right column.

The vote could be tuned so that a particular set of unlocks only get turned off, at the start of a new map, if at least 75% of the server population agrees to it, for example.

It's not a ban. It's only an option that would only occur if enough people chose it.

And for the other 25%, or less, what might be wrong with playing outside of your comfort zone every now and then? Might it not even be interesting/challenging to adapt?

I voted to keep unlocks since no unlocks would mean no kritzkrieg which I prefer as a medic.

If I were to block items it would be:
    Natascha : 41
    The Force-a-Nature : 45
    The Huntsman : 56
    The Dead Ringer : 59
    The Direct Hit : 127
    The Equalizer : 128
    The Chargin' Targe : 131
    The Wrangler : 140
    The Degreaser : 215
    The Loch-n-Load : 308

    The Liberty Launcher : 414
    Tomislav : 424
    The Cow Mangler 5000 : 441
    The Righteous Bison : 442
    The Soda Popper : 448
    The Enforcer : 460


...or make it vanilla + Kritz + Quickfix

You're nerfing me as a spy if you ban unlocks :c Your Eternal reward helps greatly when you try to chainstab.

I am not sure if I'd ban much weapons personally, with exception of perhaps the enforcer, Liberty launcher (Hey guys, let's make a weapon that's essentially a RL but EASIER TO USE, BRILLIANT), Tomislav and the milkman hat.

No, seriously, ban the hat, there's no good reason for a scout to have 150 health at the cost of... NOTHING. Because mad milk and shortstop are already great unlocks by themselves, heck, both are BANNED in some leagues.

So, in conclusion:
Tomislav : 424
The Enforcer : 460
The Liberty Launcher : 414
That f-ng hat

The other weapons I don't mind. And for you DR haters, check scoreboard when you encounter a DR spy and keep in mind that a DR spy will either:

A. Go to the nearest health/ammobox
B. Try to go back again and hide, most likely in a corner.
C. Run back to his teammates.

Conclusion: Go backwards, check if any health/ammo disappears and then base your search on that and ASSUME he's going to hide. I usually have no problems finding them at least. The DR is kiiiinda a crutch in my opinion, unless you go revolver spy.

I would miss my medic unlocks and maybe flare gun :(

I honestly could go on 15 minutes how 80% of the unlocks are just plain dumb, but that wouldn't change a thing and I know a lot of people enjoy playing with them.

Other weapons might be annoying, yes, but these weapons are simply OP and destroy the fun. A huntsman is not OP for example, even if it can oneshot every class except fully overhealed Heavy. Yet it is still annoying, I know I know :p

You're missing the point about the DR hate. Everybody knows that they aren't really dead. The team are merely sick of hunting down a 1000hp spy when there are more important things to be worrying about. DR spys have a tendency to mistake this complete indifference for their own cunning and ingenuity.

If a spy gets caught, they shouldn't be rewarded with 8 seconds of complete invisibility and near-invulnerability. There's a complete lack of subtlety in the DR that rewards the spy for doing exactly the opposite of what they're supposed to be doing.


So let me get this mo-fu straight here...

People dislike hunting a dr spy for 8 seconds but people are okay with chasing ME for 20 SECONDS? Cause that happens ALOT.


EDIT: Also, Dead Ringer lasts for only 6.5 seconds
