There by game design. The explosive classes pay a penalty for the Z-axis movement. Where's the medics penalty for this? No balancing mechanic.

Should we really start modding the server because bad sollies don't stay with their medics?

I bloody well hope not. :evil:

Thats not an argument. Its a pub server so you usually have at least 5 other people you can stick with it.

There are people you can stick with, Angelo, me, Dis86 and more who arent that stupid and try to play a good pocket. You usually always have those people on a server. Whenever I play medic I just tell someone I'm gonna stick with him via voice chat. And look, a wonder happened! He's staying with me and protecting me. But some people just dont have the sense of playing a good medic. They run in and die. This plugin seems like a "help for dummies".

Besides the fact that it is easy to control, your logic is flawed. You have the option to jump, but you don't have to do it. No downside.
The Quickfix can't overheal, and if you want to run faster, you are dependant on scouts (the only class faster than the Medic).

Or I could not play TF2 anymore because it's full of self important pricks whose sense of humour atrophied in lieu of 'mad skillz'.

TF2 today = random classes doing random shit they shouldn't be able to do.
Why not let the medic fly. I tried it yesterday and on most maps frankly I don't see the use, and maps where it does have a use, you need to be coordinating with your demo/solly quite closely to get any use out of it.

My take on it is, it's a good mod and not a bad addition to the class, but not for HH1, because OMG YOU ADDED SOMETHING THAT DIDN'T GO THROUGH THE OFFICIAL CHANNELS ADMINISTRATED BY KNOBHEADS WHO DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO MAKE A GOOD MAP AND CONSTANTLY GO BACK ON THEIR PREVIOUS STATEMENTS BECAUSE $$$.

So yeah.
Would probably be fine if you added a hat or two.

My point was that it doesn't make the Quickfix redundant. You can not say that the level of movement control between the 2 are the same. Let's see you apply the mid-air brakes. :)

Err if it lets you bungee along behind scouts as others have said of course it makes that side of the quickfix redundant. No air-control even comes into it...

That's my problem no foresight to how this interacts with the whole game. You want to massively change the base game then go ahead. I for one will no longer be playing on any server featuring it.

EDIT

At most this should be a voted for feature like crits etc on server 2+. Please at least keep this rubbish off server 1.

To me it sounds like a lot of fun, and I would like to trial it for a week or so before any poll gets put out.

I understand where NTrailz is coming from though - it does seem to circumvate the level design quite significantly. I am not looking forward to attacking B point on Gravelpit with a medic on the roof healing a demo and solly who are also up there.

After some tests: You can control the jumps easily, if you know how to strafe. You can also stop in midair.

Get your charge ready, get a demo or solly, just make an extrem jump behind enemys and pop it. If you arent that unlucky to land on stickies, you rape the team without giving them a chance of hiding. Worked very well on upward.

Do whatever you want on HH2, but please keep that off HH1. And yes, I had fun, before frog comes with the "you proved you are a dick" sentence. It is fun, but it is too OP and breaks the game.

Got some replays I will capture and show you :)

It was in response to how you were acting. I said "Tox, you do know that all you are proving is that you are a bit of a dick? right?" and to which you freely admitted. :) Saying "jump jump jump" for around 30 minutes. :)

Anyway let's not deviate into that.

I'll always provide counter argument. It's something I think is necessary when something is new and opinions aren't fully formed.
