I've tried it and I find it disturbing, why would a medic be allowed to move as fast as scout? You can jump with everyone that is jumping, so find yourself a double jumping scout and you are good. An hour ago I was at the mid of warmfront simultaneously with the enemy scout... I find it rewarding being the medic and actually winning the game for the team, there is no super-jumping needed. :) [mixed]

After reflecting on this for a while I want to say this.

I think this "trial" has been handled poorly and seems to be against the wishes of most of the people actively playing regularly atm.

The fact that this was put on all servers with no discussion before-hand when it's clearly some poorly balanced and badly thought out gimmick.

Doing this at the same time as a big patch was never a good idea either.

If it was one of the community that suggested this the most it would have got with support would've been a trial on servers 3 and 5 etc, and then maybe it might get used if it didn't get forgot about first.

The way it is now it has been forced on everyone without knowing if they actually want or need it.

Poor show imo.

Ntrailz, you're such the charmer. :) Makes me feel that all the countless days I've put into thanklessly sorting out people's grievances, server problems, developments, etc. has all been worth while. Guess it cuts no slack at all, come what may. Pile it on, I can take it :)

I'm not trying to be unfair here Frog.

I just don't see why you should be allowed to circumnavigate our usual procedures for doing these things. Especially when it modifies the base game so much.

Why is it one rule for everyone else and then another for you?

That's my grievance here.

If everything had to be done by committee, then things would happen at a very slow pace, if at all. Just as recent example, look at the 4th birthday, nothing would have happened unless I'd done something. I'd tried to instigate interest but their was general indifference and lack of response, as happens with a lot of things that come up on the forum.

Tell you what, and only if you'd prefer, then I won't do anything whatsoever any more unless is gets discussed by committee and we wait until every member gets their say.

If it's unfortunate that you want to get personal or deviate, rather than have a open discussion about a mod. Let's keep things in perspective.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. If people didn't upset the apple cart every once in a while then we could still be thinking the world is flat.

It might have been better to keep it to HH2 for the trial period so that people could escape from it and keep in line with HH1's reputation as a reliable place for good TF2 play.

If there had been some notice or discussion beforehand then someone might have suggested that and the trial would have been less disruptive.

There was nothing personal there what-so-ever. If you want to take umbrage to what I said then it is you that is doing so.

My point is a fair one and not unreasonable.

If it was a small mod that didn't affect game play so much, as has happened in the past. Then no-one really minds so long as it doesn't interfere with the game/play.

But this is a fundamental change that has been put on all servers at the same time. You don't think that that's too much?

Anyway, anything that makes people want to play medic more is a-okay with me. It's merely a trial anyway and I doubt people will stop playing because medics can actually follow soldiers during jump.

Think it's possible to add a hardlimit to how far cloak sound can travel? That'd be sweet!

Guys guys, please calm down. As said before, this trial is only until Monday and by the looks of the general response, it wont be staying. It's always good to have a healthy discussion going on about these kinds of things without it heating up too much, which is what frog's been trying to do here.

That said, would it be possible to remove the Dead Ringer from our servers? That'd be sweet! :D
