This should be fixed now. I've added a condition, to the panel plugin, which checks if a built-in vote is in progress before displaying the loser panel.

I see no panel and I am using oxidehud. :)

It turns out that this will apply to all Valve style votes. It's down to the HUD to support them, and lack of display is a shortcoming of the HUD developer/designer that they need to made aware of and address. The only solution here is for the HUD designer to sort out.

Seemed to cut in randomly yesterday on HH2...
As I thought we had the vote at 5 mins left on the map, not 25 min or 15 min

I like the tiebreaker idea... but we all know what will happen in tiebreaker when its a 30% vote for badlands and a 30% vote for goldrush...

The underlying mechanism is temporary. It is just the built-in voting panel extension that is being tested at the moment. The voting mechanics will change. It will end up being pretty much the same as what we have been running for a few years, but with the additional of a secondary run-off vote and a slightly different implementation of off-peak and peak map pools, and map rating weighting.

Had it get stuck on an infinite loop on HH2 today, after a few minutes of that the server went wonky.

Also as far as design goes, would prefer it if was less annoying and in to your face, it's highly distracting when it cowers most of the left side of the screen.

Yes that happened a few hours ago whilst testing a new version.

The design is Valves builtin voting system, which I guess you have not seen before.

Beta test is over on HH2 and HH3, and a stable version is now in place.

Now planning on putting the same system on HH1.

The main benefit of this system is that it provides a solution to the perennial problem of Sourcemod's voting menu blocking weapon select keys during a vote.

Had an issue earlier on Barnblitz. Some of the voting rounds didn't show up for most people, amd Lakeside won with 60% of 5 votes. Same thing happened on an earlier map.
