I ask this because I don't really see much cheer for it. Personally, I have no love for it whatsoever and think it could be much better than it is. For a start that last cap point is far too quick. It might as well just change hands instantly for all the good it does the defenders. Secondly, once the center is taken and fortified, its usually the end for the other team. It's a map that unfairly penalises you. You just can't come back from it. |

I like it its quite a good map but agreed the last cap is far too fast but i think thats to counter the fac that its easy to defend |

I love it. It's the best balanced symmetrical 5CP map so far (check out the stats), every class has tremendous potential to excel and add to the team and I find it very enjoyable to play. The spires are a constant source of action as each team tries to one up the other sending RJing Soldiers to reclaim it, and there's a wealth of flanking routes and vantage points. Great for Spy and Pyro, who havn't really been shown much love in some other linear CP maps. Oh yeah and it's symmetrical, but not exactly linear. I like how the caps fold back on themselves (like an s or z shape), it allows the slower classes to enter the fray and also encourages offensive play. On Well or Gran you frequently get teams on the back foot turtling at CP 2 and totally eschewing mid point. The open and relatively close nature of the CPs results in more teams retaking the spire and then pressing on to mid. All in all it's one of my favourite official maps, and makes a change from Dustbowl and Gravel. Had some quality tense matches on Baldlands (sic)

Instead of writing a long essay about my opinion, I'll simply agree with everything fusion just said. Great post. |

yep, in the words of Michael Jackson. Badlands is BAD! (I really like it! p.s. played in at least 2 rounds where there has been a successful comeback from almost losing on the final point. |

i like the fact it is possible to make a comeback from the last point. Also pyro and spys can excel due to the mulitiple routes. And I actually i like the fact the last point caps so quickly because it mean the your defence has to be airtight. It also makes it feasible for a lone spy to to cap without being blown up after waiting like 5 seconds for the point to cap. |
