Post Re: Good night, sweet prince
was playing on HH1 early yesterday evening. Only seemed to rly fill when barnblitz came on. suffered a bit from custom maps before keeping it to about 8 people only.

Can the map list be amended for the amount of people in a server?

Was wondering if it is worth having a limited list for when the server has 8 or less people in (like keep badlands, well, granary, gpit)?

It's far simpler and more accurate to pester whichever admins are online than to try and automate things with votes.

Can we please start instantly kicking any players who insist on medic chaining? - we had two last night who chained for 3 maps straight (I left after that) and despite numerous requests to stop from both sides, they just carried on regardless. The server is struggling at the moment to recover it's numbers and this type of crap will just keep driving people away.

It's happened once and K3D dealt with it. If it happens again tougher action will occur.

Please can people start making new threads about different topics. This thread is all over the shop.

Fair enough Frog and thanks - it just seemed to be going for too long and people were getting seriously fed up with it.

If the subject is bringing life back to HH1, there is only 1 real solution, and we all know it I don't even need to say, but I will anyway:

Bring back Gimpy.

I've re-read that last sentence a few times, and tried to understand the point and meaning behind it, sadly I have failed to. Unfortunately, the time I am prepared to spend discussing things with you Tox is limited. You probably know why, and I hope you understand.

If you want to keep abreast of what is going on in Linux TF2 server land, then I suggest you read through some of http://www.mail-archive.com/hlds_linux@ ... llist.html and pay attention to the long thread entitled '[hlds_linux] No Steam Logon - massive lag'.

You might get a more helpful response from another admin, but alas not from me. My role is voluntary and I am under no obligations. This community is and should be a shared responsibility.
