Ok wrong choice of words, I don't mean the actual game itself. The game is still fun as hell.

I actually meant the community.
I remember when nobody gave a shit about new items and hats and just had fun no matter what happened. Even highlander matches were like this.

Nothing's really changed in the game except new items and hats but it means the game has gone from "Really awesome game" to "OMFG!! what is this shit? I hate change!1!!!"

-I remember when this forum section was for people who liked TF2. Now it's full of completely the opposite.

-I remember having fun with the events Sam set up. I remember playing highlander style matches and having a hell of a lot of fun no matter what items were introduced. (Yeah I don't care that the Soldier's laser weapons were added. I managed to dispatch Soldiers just fine, nothing changed for me.)


I may go back to playing TF2 but the way this community has gone and the fact I only play on H|H servers (and even supported them)....well...ehhhhh

Huh, I'm kinda "young" to remember all the mentioned, I started playing tf2 about a year ago or a bit more (shame on me), and found your community shortly after. I rarely, very rarely, played on any other server, and if i did (or do) those are mge-s, jump maps, or random servers by hitting the start playing button (if I'm really bored and if HHs are empty). Said that, I do believe that tf2 and the community used to be a different place in the past, "purer" without all this ludicrous need for hats, pew-pews etc. But still, the HH community succeeded in mantaining the old tf2 charm, where no one really cares too much about the new "fancy" things that every update brings us, leaving the main purpose of the game intact (having fun with good players that you know and like).. or at least that's my opinion and what i'm getting.
I hope that this thread sounded a bit depressing just in my head, and I hope that the tf2 hh servers will live for much more in all their glory coz I'm still having the same fun as i had when i started to play the game, and when i think about this game i think of the nice hours spent on your servers.

They don't, i expressed myself badly, and i love cosmetics too.. i was just saying that some people take the micro economy in tf2 much more seriously than the game itself.. but then again, "de gustibus..."

Back on topic, "remember when.." my ping wasn't 190 and i wasn't kicked from the server for having it too high? You don't but i do. Is there anything that i can do? I know I'm a bit far from the UK, but this high latency problem started just a couple of weeks ago and i usually maxed at ~80

TF2 doesn't suck. It just takes more effort to get to the fun bits. That's why people are always complaining yet they can't stop playing.
