Runs like a dream, but rather strangely it feels like it's running a bit too fast.

You get used to the timing's between wrench swings, etc, and it just seems a touch shorter than usual.

I had exactly this feeling. I'm so glad somebody else mentioned it because I thought I was going crazy. Felt like the game was running maybe 10% or so faster than normal. I actually meant to test it by timing how long it took me to run a set distance but I forgot to local host and get a "control" time...

Other than that the server seemed to be running very smoothly. Is this a hardware respec (faster cores, less of them) or a straight upgrade? No ping problems either.

I'm still getting 110ms pings to it at peak times. Must be congestion at point of crossing the sea.

This morning I started a couple of ping graphs from my PC to the old and new servers using http://vwlowen.co.uk/files/PingGraph13-Setup.exe

I'll see how it progresses as the day goes on.

I've switched to ping the IP's rather than the domains now as http://www.thehh.co.uk will be updated to the new IP soon. (Just checking now, it has. At least for the name servers my ISP runs.)

Old IP: 31.132.2.141 (old.thehh.co.uk)
New IP: 178.32.51.115 (tf2.thehh.co.uk)

The new IP is a different address than what the HH1 test server was running on. It's still on the same box, but it's registered in the UK.

(btw the graphing programme looked up the IP from the domain at the start of monitor and then continues to ping that address, despite the fact that thehh.co.uk now resolves to the new server.)

Hi. It seems that I'm the odd man out: before the change I was getting around 50 at HH1 and now it never goes bellow 120. Any tips?

K3D - I'm on Xilo too, and at the below link is what KC have had to say about Xilo (murphx) and their servers.

http://www.killercreation.co.uk/forums/ ... c-servers/

Although the guy's fix worked for me temporarily, I've since had the same trouble with connections to other KC servers again.

Server can certainly handle the player counts and runs very smoothly..

However NTrailZ and Myself had problems with rising pings from our isp XILO (murphx reseller).

Portugal. I usually get between 30-50 on other UK servers but now HH1 stays at a steady 130 and HH2 at 120.

That is because our server has changed location and your ISP doesn't have a good link to the data centre/region of the internet, that it is now in. Check http://www.thehh.co.uk/hh2u/

Well I guess I'll just hope HH switch servers again in a near future to one that doesn't filter out southern europeans :p2 . Thanks for the replies.
It's all dependant on the connections different ISPs have with different Internet routes. What might be slow from one particular ISP in one country, might be faster with another ISP in the same country. I'm certainly not suggesting that you change ISP!

Global ping test to our TF2 servers. (Lisbon, Portugal - 43.ms)
