It looks to me like everything after Leeds is pretty slow? Am I reading this right?

Its the brnt-bb to leeds jump where the problem is which causes a knock on delay to all jumps afterwards.

Looks like the ping issue has been resolved.. at least in this direction...
had 16-20ping on HH1 30 seconds ago

Unhelpful image. It's nothing to do with routing in France.

The traceroute clearly shows the problems is causes by capacity issues with the peering partners of murphx.net in London.

Via a different route with Virgin Media from Bristol.

Unfortunately, we can't control any of the 100,000's of routers across the whole Internet and there will be times when routers fail, are being upgraded or have reached capacity. It's just how things are on the Internet.

Please refer to http://weathermap.ovh.net/ and the network traffic map/status reports provider by your ISP to gain insight into where the issue lies.

I know just thought it was a cool picture.

You said about virgin upgrading at the moment but so to are bt and I just found out verizon in london are making changes for the Olympics.

Once the data gets to your ISP its in the hands of the gods so unless I run a dark fibre from a to b will just have to wait :)

just tried hh2 but my ping was around 160, person888 and a couple of others were having same prob. Definately nothing my end i checked ping to multiplay and google.co.uk in cmd and both returned 32ms.

anything been changed? is this a temporary problem?
