Caught a bit on the BBC tech news today. Gabe Newell says that Windows 8 will be a disaster for PC Gamers. Caught this bit at the end of the article: One harbinger of this future was perhaps found, he said, in the success of one Team Fortress player in Kansas who was earning $150,000 (£97,000) a year making virtual hats. No wonder they can't be bothered to fix bugs. If each employee did nothing but produce one item/hat per day they'd still be rich. |

Or....y'know...... earn them by playing the game. Of course that's the fools way of doing it. Everyone knows spending all your money is where it's at. You're being forced to do so anyway, it's how Gabe envisioned things in the first place. |

I think he means because hats drop so rarely and even if you play 20 hours per week it still takes multiple weeks to gather up the metal to craft a hat, and even then you probably won't get the one you want. Thus, your only realistic option is to buy it. (Excluding trading rings/sites etc.) |

Nah I'm making fun of the people who raged about having to pay for hats. They acted like they were being forced to do so. Ehhh, I've never been the type of person where people know I'm joking. |
