I played on a server last night that had a cool mod.

When an engie dies, he drops his metal as an ammo crate. He can also choose to drop his metal anywhere using alternate fire on his wrench.

I really like this coz it encourages engies to work together and also makes them a more effective support class. Once all his machines are deployed he can drop his metal for another engie or get forward with the combat classes and drop ammo crates as needed.

It could be a good addition to one of the servers (#3 maybe....?)

That sounds great. Maybe H|H's great server gods could indeed put it in some server...

you can pick up whatever the engi has when he dies anyways like any other class right? i do like the alternate to the wrench thats quiet cool.

Threre's a slight difference with the engie in this mod. Normally when anyone dies they drop their weapon which is worth 100 metal. With this mod, the ammo crate that's left behind can contain up to 200 metal depending on how much metal he had when he died.

If he's holdng his toolbox it's 200 metal anyway when he dies.
