I am interested in seeing what kind of outfits people are running. Below is what I am working towards! Just grab a screenshot from ingame and show of your style! If you want to, explain the theme for your loadouts.
For my part I am trying to retain the personality of each class while applying my own taste to it, without clashing with the TF2 artstyle (meaning to weird hats or paints). In the end it became quite influenced by 30s, bow-ties, and rockabilly. To top it of I have my #SWAG-demo to clash nicely with everything else.
I don't get many hats that aren't either halloween costumes (which appear quite often during that time-frame) and promo items that come with game preorders.
I'm also not good at taking screenshots so I'll just post about them
Scout: Proof of Purchase: Because I find that large or wide hats go well with the Scout's skinny frame.
Heavy: (Gold) Heavy Duty Rag: Because I got it during the fight nights when prizes were donated by both teams and the winners got them all. I also had a pot of gold paint laying around until the time was right..... ...and the time WAS right. It was also the only worthy item I got during those times, the rest I was just given scraps while everyone else got hats because the other team didn't give in much.
Engineer: (Gold) Texas Ten Gallon: Because Sam gave it to me (I think it was Sam). I think it was during his backpack clearout.
Medic: (Lack of tint or whatever it's called) Vintage Tyrolean: Because it's my first hat drop since I started playing. The paint colour works well with the red Medic's lab coat. Not so much with the Blu medic though

You can buy hats not usable in crafting for 0.66 ref usually. You can get that metal in two weeks of drops.
Perhaps we should have a HH exchange. Where you can exchange hats and weapons for other hats and weapons (one for one). Could be a neat way to try out different weapons just like that.
-Attendant, -Nose Candy Craft Number 42 -Pyrotechnic Tote craft number 51.
Worth a metric ton.

My main class is the spy, so this one is the only outfit I have fully customized. I have the Charmers Chapeau, because it is hands down the best spy hat in the game, I mean look at it, it looks amazing. Then, Dr. Whoa, well not only am I a huge Doctor Who fan, but also it fits really nice with the hat, giving the spy that class, he deserves. And lastly the spats, because they look good and fit well. They are all painted lime to be in a single color, which looks good imo. The general idea of it is to make the spy look classy, which he is. That is the reason I dont use the Rogues Col Roule, like most spies would do, the bowtie just gives him much more class, and the shoes too. I know this loadout might be quite similar to the most popular ones for spy, but I think it actually fits the spys character, rather than glasses with a hobo beard for example.
Seems like it would only suit the Red Spy though. Might look a bit odd on Blu.
This is why I like the large range of hats and colours and things. Better than having everyone look exactly the same. That's just boring. Especially since it's not restricted to nine players with a "only one of each class" rule.
