It's such a shame cos server 1 with 26 players is really pissing me off IMO 20 really is the sweet spot for pubs.

I normally make a beeline straight to server 3 (over HH1 and HH2) when its got players on it.

The main reason is that for some reason server 3 doesn't lag me at all (unlike servers 1 and 2), which suffers from the occasional lag /spike fest :[

But for some reason tonight I was pinging at 50-60 on HH3.
But thankfully was still able to play, as it was a smooth lag free ping.

I had an epiphany. Turn it into a dustbowl only.

If everyone likes that map so much, then make a whole server for it. Maybe it will leave other maps to be played for a change?

But then thinking about it, didnt we all already do that once?

I'd agree with that idea as long as dustbowl is removed from the other servers' rotations.

Server 2 was Dustbowl 24/7 and was always empty.

heres a bizarre idea, how about make server #3 friendly fire on?

With decent players, thats ok, you just get blown up a few times by a lost sticky or rocket. But then the first simple-minded players join. Lets say he wants to play pyro. ok. Then you notice the enemy team has a spy. Simple-minded pyro starts to get paranoid and flames everyone in his team. Some people start to get pissed off and shoot him. Thats how the funny team-kill-fest begins. Not to speak of the bloodbath in the spawn-room. I once saw a pyro just run around and kill all his team-mates in the room, as well as a heavy just standing next to a cupboard and firing his Minigun...

It maybe fun and instructive if you play it in a decent round on a closed server, but FF on in TF2 on a pub server?

agreed ff = really really funny for like 3 mins then its just a war crime. tbh i dont really think some magical gimick will be the fix unless something like a new craze strikes ie something new or some freak hype. what to do? promote more on the servers i guess......tired of waiting? go to server 3. and i guess just have more of us simply on it. and wait for some snowball effect.



*edit* i got it free tshirt give awat to the 1000000th player to join server 3!!!! or a lesser number and then just have random ppl walking with our shirts like walking billboards or we can rig it so I get a free tshirt.

Yesterday I saw that nobody was on Server 3 and the other servers were full, so I went on that. I couldn't get anyone else to play though.

While ff is something I can't stand in a normal Team Fortress 2 match, it does have a certain appeal if you are just messing around. I remember putting some stickies right next to Ares while he was sniping, thus helping the enemy Sniper. Good times.

Seriously though, I like Server 3. I'm not really fond of the fast spawn timers, but a 10 vs. 10 often tends to result in less spamming. And I usually don't have a problem filling it up. All you need is three or four players on the Server and people will come automatically. It's better than waiting ten minutes to join Server 1 at any rate.
