Who mentioned penalising anyone?

I don't think the taunting is malicious to any player henchling - the idea is for other players to take screenshots and post them to their activity feed, it's like a record of the previous evening.

When it's up you can then post a funny/clever/insulting comment with the picture and get some cheap laughs. Always works for me (I'm always being taunted as shown below - feel my humiliation).



Your objection had been noted and I'm sure whoever was upsetting you has read this thread and will cut it out from now on. If they persist then a friendly admin can have a word.

henchling, although you have come across polite on this thread, you are far from polite when you are on the server, you called me and zerged "pricks" only yesterday simply because we taunted you (as we do to everybody).

You constantly get angry at people over nothing on the server and every regular on the server knows this and has been a witness to your poor attitute.

When you are taunted it has no effect on you, you have just died and are waiting to respwn, a funny screenshot of someone waving at you is nothing to get angry about. We don't do it personally towards you, we dont even see the name of who we just killed, taunting is just automatic and if it bothers you that much, you are the only one and should maybe look for another server to play on.

I do not agree with this sentiment. As a member please do not advise other people to play elsewhere.

I believe the conversation went a little like this:

Me: "Zerged, how many times do I have to ask?"
Zerged: "what?"
Me: "not to taunt."
Me: "when your default is to be a prick."
Me: "I understand it must be hard."

Then you wrote a bunch of stuff I didn't notice at the time, 'cause I play with text off, 'cause people like you tend to spam tired binds about engineers & such that I don't care to read.

I didn't call you a prick, though if the opportunity arises I'll gladly call you something more severe if you so wish.

I'm pretty sure that 90% of what you've written is hyperbole, but given that you so clearly hold me in such high regard, I can only assume that your behaviour towards me is actually coloured by a certain malice.

I don't think you'll find anything overly mean or unreasonable. I react to you & your cronies, because what you do, as stated, irks me. I don't think it's unreasonable to react when poked.

Ok I guess I have to reply here because it's pretty obvious who you are referring to with "green haired club" and some stuff you wrote is not true imo.

You said that people didn't stop taunting you which is not true in my case. I stopped taunting you as good as I could (I do this because I got the feeling it was really annoying you and you asked me nicely, unlike in cases before in which you were very insulting in chat when I did something you disliked) but as everyone probably knows I taunt everybody almost all the time because to me it (the resulting hilarious situations and the screenshots from it) is part of the fun in TF2 (and for many other people as well, I get taunted often too).

Since I taunt everybody all the time I don't put much thought into who I taunt and so it obviously can happen that I accidentally taunt you. Also, you quite often seem to change your name which will result in me taunting you as well (like yesterday) since I won't go try to find out what your current name is.

In my opinion I did my best to not taunt you but it can and will most probably happen again because of the reasons above.

Also you just have to put up with it somehow, it's part of the game after all. It's like if I wished people from stopping using certain weapons (which I wish they did, sometimes) but it's in the game so I'll have to just accept it and try not to get upset by it too much.

I think you have to be respectful that new people do join the server and perma-taunting is not always a friendly welcoming gesture. Especially if the new players do not know the skill level of the server and feel like they are being made fun of.

There is a danger of creating a clique environment that do not look beyond the wants or needs of other players.

I for one do not like it, but I can count many occasions that the person taunting has been killed doing it. So you have to weigh up if you are really being team orientated by doing this constantly.

No, I don't accept what you do as "being part of the game".

I've been playing TF2 for 5 years on a variety of servers and it's only in the past few months on this server that has seen the rise of you & your group of friends constantly taunting.

It's not normal.

I don't have a problem with taunting, generally speaking, I've already explained this. You & your friends take it to an extreme.

It's like being back in school, and your clique is the most annoying one I've ever encountered.

Why should I have to submit a request to not be taunted, and offer up a notification of name change because you think it's OK to taunt everyone, for no good reason. I'm not your friend, your screenshot doesn't appear on my timeline. I couldn't care less about what fun you derive from this practice.

You're all a little too comfortable with your standing on the server.

You are the one with the attitute here, i don't have any "behaviour" towards you, and every single reg on the server can attest to your constant poor attitude on the server.

If asked nicely to do something I would do it, but you do not ask nicely, and the fact that you change your name all the time makes it difficult for players to realise it's you and therefore respect your wishes and not taunt. However players soon realise who you are when you begin wingeing and insulting people on the server.

Me, Zerged and others have taunted almost every kill for 3 years or more, thats tens of thousands of people, and you are the only person to ever get annoyed about it, clearly you have issues outside of tf2 but they are not our problem and you should deal with them without taking your insecurities out of players on the server.

Frog can easily go through the server logs and see your constant insults towards players over the last year or 2 so that kinda renders your argument invalid to say the least.
