Just bought F1 2013 classic edition and when I try to run it it says what the subject is.

My graphics card is a nvidia geforce 7600 gt. I have all the latest drivers.

I need help quick as I was really looking forward to this game!

unfortunetely, your gpu only supports directx 9c. you are unable to play the game as it requires directx 10 and above.

Yes, but can't I force it into DX10 or 11?

if the card does not support dx 10, it cant run it. i dont think f1 2013 can be forced into dx9 either.

Go to MyDocuments -> MyGames -> FormulaOne2013 -> hardwaresettings and open hardware_settings_config in notepad

Search and see if you can find a line that says

directx forcedx9="false"

and change it to

directx forcedx9="true"


If there isn't a line for forcedx9, then you're out of luck and I think the only way you'll get to play the game is by getting a dx10+ card.

Theres nothing in hardware settings :/

contact steam support, request a refund. not much else you can do besides getting a new gfx card
