And lo, on the third day the thread was ressurected.
Colony Wars. Imo the best 3D space combat game ever concieved. The atmosphere was spot on, the grandiose feeling of space was relayed like no other game I've played. The graphics were incredible for the Playstation, and the sound fx and music were gorgeous. The cutscenes were fantastic as well.

Erm, I know this is a late response, but the Steam version works ok, the normal box one does too, just install the game to your user directory (or ser it to run as admin in shortcut properties)
I spent many many many hours playing this game and it's sequal, i'm sure most of you have played it.
Unlike most games, loosing a soldier really hit home for me anyway.
I'll tell you the story of RJ
A fresh recruite bought in after the previous squad shot an explosive crate rather than picking it up killing the lot instantly.
fresh on the field he let his team on a number of successfull raids on the blues, he flew up the ranks right the way up to colonel, he took part in what was to become his final mission to rid the galaxy of an alien menis,
He led his 3 man team past 4 enemy barracks and had a tough fight doing so, it was when the area seemed clear that he (or rather I) let his guard down, a mass of enemys swarmed the team, Jools his second in command was the first to bite the bullet, JL was the nect to meet a bitter end, RJ and Joops the last of the 4 man squad tried their hardest to fight their way out of the situation but it was in vein, in the end both were KIA after a heroic final battle.
Anyone who has played it knows what i'm on about here
Crash bash and Crash Team Racing on PS1. Just loved to play them with my friends.
God bless you 47.
Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped:It pains me to say it this game is better than Mario 64. Mario 64 had a shit camera this flawless. Great level design and generally a great game.
Premier Manager 1998: It sucked but it was great fun with a friend. The season would be over in 20 mins and was terribely unrealistic, like being Arsenal and being relegated twice in a row. Crap classic.
WWF SmackDown 2: Know your Role: When wreslting was good.BEST WRESLTING GAME EVER. The season mode went on forever. Great create-a-wrestler and great backstage area to fight in.
Crash Team Racing: EXCELLENT!!!!! SO what if it is a clone its still freakin' awesome.
LMA Manager 2001: Love it. A godd football managing game.
Ahhhh the PSOne. Childhood memories.....
