Better than a XBox 360 that has even got its own light to tell you when its broken. My friend has got it switched 3 times already. And hes not trying to break it!

I've bought one for my girlfriend. She likes to play on consoles. i can enjoy it for a while. And stuff like motorstorm rox! A ps3 or any console is not made for fps or rts, but racing games etc work better with a gamepad on a console than on a pc (more accurate steering)
plus, it always plays on 720p without having to decrease detail and stuff (try doing that with crysis on ur native resolution)
another advantage is the blu ray. not that I have any ^^ and DVDs look better
