Running the 7th Guest and the 11th hour... (old school i kno
I recently purchased these in a fit of nostalgia for far more than i should have and am having problems running them (surprise!).
I used to love the 7th guest. Although a veteran of many a scary movie at the time, this game still managed to scare the crap out of me somehow. I think it was because live action in a game was still pretty new. I have memories of spending hours on the damn game.
Anyway, after giving up with even installing the 7th guest I followed the instructions for running 11th hour and after what felt like 11 bloody hours got the game running. Now it runs at a ridiculous speed- very fast.
Does anyone know of a non dos based way to slow programs down? I tried 'Mo-slow' but it seemed too complicated so I gave up. Somewhere 'Turbo' was mentioned but I've not checked it out.
Anyone remember these or managed to get them to run in XP?

I'm sorry I can't help you mate because out of what I've quoted I think I understood 'movie', 'after' and 'the'
I would however like to compliment you on your new(-ish, i think) avatar with what looks like a very healthy sativa - is it *ahem* not yours?
Either way that is some droolworthy ganja. And if it is Indica, forgive me, I'm a little buzzed right now as is

Also if you have multi CPU cores, try setting the games affinity to just a single core using Task Manager. I also loved The 7th Guest. What was that poem about "...blood up the walls.." again?

Old Man Stauf built a house, and filled it with his toys Six guests were invited one night, their screams the only noise Blood inside the library, blood right up the hall Dripping down the attic stairs, hey guests, try not to fall Nobody came out that night, not one was ever seen But Old Man Stauf is waiting there, crazy, sick, AND MEAN!
