I love a bit of MGS. I've got 1, 2 and 3. My MGS 2 was a first edition and came with a "making of" DVD. I've have tried the original Metals Gears, such as Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, but I just cant get the same cinematic vibe from them as their 3D counterparts. And I would have liked to have seen "The Twin Snakes" come out on something other than the Gamecube. It was basically MGS redone in the MGS2 engine. The cutscenes had been rejigged a bit, with a bit more dialogue in some of them to take advantage of the new character faces, and Snake was portrayed as being a bit more agile, but it looked how I always imagined MGS to look. Unfortunately I dont have a PS3 to play this new one on. |

Im a proud ps3 owner thats never played any of the other mgs games lol If i buy the new 1 is it going to refer to events & chars from the previous games as that will bug me not knowing old plots etc The ps3 vs 360 argument is boring now. The way i look at it is even if you buy the cheapest 360 at £180 & you want to play online games with it your looking at another £60 or £100 (cant remember how much xbox live is) per year. On top of that theres all the peripherals you need to make it as good as it can be. Ps3's online is free Blu ray discs lol at hte 360s just on pure storage & ability to provide 7-8x the content of a normal disc. Its a superior machine on every level. Dont get me wrong im a gamer & like all gaming machines but i really believe that sonys console is better than microsofts or id have purchased a 360. |

xbox live is 40£ for the year(gold) Personally i got 360 for the share fun side of it, got mine couple years ago, when the ps3 was silly amounts of money. Untill i got my 360 i always had a playstation over a xbox, owned and still do a ps1 and ps2 and all the tomb raider games But anyway, as i said then personally, i would only have a ps3 for metal gear and GT series, seemed a bit of a waste to spend at that time £400? on a system to play 2 games |

Ah, Metal Gear. So many classic memories of trying to sneak your way past some guards. And so many memorable quotes: "I FEEL ASLEEP" and ... Oh, you're talking about the Metal Gear: Solid on the Playstation. Sorry, never played that. But I recommend the NES game. |

Ive got that Gamecube one, and it was one of the first games that truly motivated me to finish it several times (unlocks + different endings) |
