I also heard there's a discount on the full version if you buy the creator. If you're not wiling to pay for the creator, the trial lets you do a hell of a lot, seriously.

If you do decide to pay for the FULL version of the Creature Creator demo, you will recieve a code to get the same ammount of money off the price of the full game (provided you get it as a direct download from EA)

As for the full Spore game itself. think of it as being more like Sim Life. When the game begins you basically start with a single cell amoeba which you evolve over the course of the game. Once you leave the primordial soup as it were, and ascend onto dry land, you will find your planet already populated by creatures made by the community. Creatures created in the demo are uploaded to a Spore databse ready for random distribution across the Spore universe once the full game launches. If you create a friend list you will be more likely to come across your friends creatures inhabiting your planet.

As the game continues you gain points which can be spent to customize your creatures DNA (ala the Creature Creator), Creatures also go through "culture" stages too, like the Tribal stage for example. Eventually you can build entire cities for your creatures (provided they are at a high enough evolutionary level) in the same kind of creation process used for your creatures. Long term you can take to the stars and inhabit other worlds or simply harvest them for food or abduct other creatures to farm thier DNA.

All of this has to be maintained in a similar manner to the The Sims/Sim City etc. which were also created by Will Wright.

BTW if you click on the middle of the galaxy on Spores main screen, then give it a spin with the mouse, Will Wrights face appears Godlike from the centre of the galaxy! :lol:

I was gonna post some pics of a few of my creations but I thought better of it after a while, not everyone wants to see Dongzilla and the Pensisaurus I thought to myself. :E

Does bring up the question of how many other peoples games will be infested with user-created wang monsters though rofl.
