Post Re: Mass Effect
I have had great fun playing Mass Effect when not TF2in, like has already been said it has a very different conversation system that does really seem to work.

Although different in a few ways, it reminds me of playing Deus Ex, with all the detailed conversations and vast amounts to read.

Looking forward to continuing my quest again soon.

Khola, I would be wary of Alone In The Dark at the moment, got the new issue of PC Gamer and it has the vast rating of 39%. May be one to avoid I feel!

Well, I saw a video of it myself, and while the "real world" thing looks interesting, the combat looked a bit ropey.

I will try this after Bioshock. I almost bought it before I moved just so I could activate it before I lost my Internet. Hopefully Bioshock will last me 2-3 weeks :)

OK really enjoying this alot more now (so THATS where everyone's been :) )

My gripe with the first level's textures was soon forgotten as it does get a tair bit priettier. It was just that static, red syline and dodgy rocks on that initial level.

Now things look much better.

There are endless debates on 360 forums about Film grain or no film grain. Im still a little undecided, but on those static sky textures it seems to help add a little life and also softens the rather jagged facial shadowing that goes on- actually makes elements like that look much better.

Personal perferance too and I admit i switch between the 2 (what a gfx whore I am)

So come on guys, without a spoiler, what planet are you and sheperd currently investigating? Only just cleared Zhu's hope here but I juat started

yeah I've just done zhu's hope as well (i think, can't remember) i've explored every single planet possible that I've come across which accounts for a massive amount of time :S

Got ages of storyline still to go I think :)

no grain all the way! i reckon the main reason thats the default is because it masks all the texture popping, if your playing on a HD screen then defo turn it off!

main problem with it is that later on the checkpoints can be abit tedious, theres one perticular 'drive for 5 mins then kill these guys then die' section that nearly had me quit. Great game all together tho, highly recommend it if you like rpg/adventure explory type games, an the universe its set in, with all the background stories, is kinda starwars scale but obviously less epic 8-)
Mass effect 2 is gonna be awesome for sure
